12.00 Well Construction Digital Twin using Edge Appliances, Data Driven and Physics Base models The Digital Twin in the Oil and Gas, well construction is a virtual reproduction of the prospect well and the elements surrounding it ie well trajectory, reservoir, rig and downhole equipment. By combining the mathematical models, software algorithms, and data models one can build a digital twin that represents as accurate as technically possible. One of the key challenge for constructing a well is the uncertainty in subsurface environment. The composition and properties of surface geology and the reservoir are typically interpreted, and risk of error is always there that could lead to well failure or could make the well uneconomical. By integrating the modelling software, historic data from offset wells and live access to real-time data, we not only can construct the well digital twin but also can adopt the changes observed during the execution phase. James Aguas, EESSA Region Technical Sales Manager, Halliburton
12.30 Lunch 13.00 Subsea Technology
NOV Subsea Solutions – taking production from surface to seabed to save valuable topside space and reduce manpower; disruptive technologies including subsea storage units, process equipment and automated pigging are just some of the areas of new technologies that are changing the production conversations. Our Seabox™ technology allows seawater treatment on the seabed without the use of chemicals and is able to remove 99% of all particles > 8.5 microns to provide near sterile water. The use of a Seabox module complete with ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes or nanofiltration enable low salinity and sulphate removal and make it possible to tailor the raw seawater qualities matched to reservoir requirements for maximum recovery. Our robust subsea storage solutions are available for oil, chemicals, and produced water which reduces topside storage systems and weight allowing fluids to be stored subsea. Morten Rømer, Regional Director, NOV Subsea Production Solutions
13.30 From Model to Horizon: A Comprehensive Method for Seismic Interpretation This paper presents how a comprehensive method in seismic interpretation can facilitate and improve processes in exploration and development. It helps to attain better time and resolution performances in the interpretation and above all a better comprehension of geology: faster, sharper, smarter. The relative geological time model comes from a comprehensive seismic interpretation method, which can be summarized as a two-step workflow. During the first step, horizons are automatically tracked within the entire seismic volume to constrain a grid and a relative age is assigned for each point. The seismic interpreter then checks the auto-picked horizons and refined them locally inside the grid until an optimum solution is obtained. It provides a new way to perform a strata slicing into the seismic volume even in regions where classical techniques
are limited. When applying this workflow combined with spectral decomposition, unseen high-resolution geological events can be revealed. Jean-Philippe Adam, Portfolio Manager, Eliis

14.30 Scaling the Value of Machine Learning in Oil & Gas Beyond Pilots Moving from machine learning proof of concepts to full industrial-scale deployments is the single largest paradigm shift industrial AI needs to undergo to move from value projections to true value capture. This presentation will cover key topics that operators need to address in order to be able to implement machine learning at scale.
• What does it mean to scale ML in the O&G industry? • ML application development strategy and architecture • Using physics guided machine learning for greater model confidence • Addressing data quality and data availability necessary in modelling • Certification of ML models and their live data pipelines • ML for HESQ
Petteri Vainikka, VP Product Marketing, Cognite 15.00 OBN Seismic Technology
While the rest of the marine seismic industry has struggled since the down turn in the oil service sector driven by the fall in oil price in 2014 the Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) sector has actually thrived. OBN data acquisition is projected to be a $1.5B annual business in 2019 claiming one third of all marine seismic spend. Initially OBN seismic data were primarily used for production and development. With the increased focus on core assets from the oil companies, however, and the emergence of Multi-Client OBN surveys, OBN acquisition is now moving into the exploration space. The increased demand has also been supported by the industry’s ability to innovate which has driven down OBN costs thus making it more accessible. BGP entered the OBN market in 2016 and in just 3 years has established itself as the world's largest OBN service provider. BGP is currently acquiring both Shell’s and Africa's largest ever OBN project which is a combined production and exploration survey covering 4000sq km offshore Nigeria. The project is demonstrating exceptional productivity in a very complex and challenging operating environment. BGP plans to maintain an OBN crew in West Africa to serve the Atlantic margin. Atle Jacobsen, SVP, BGP Atlantic Ltd
