* This result presents the ratio of females and males who answered my questionnaire. Most, as you can see are female. However I still have a steady majority of males included in my research. I like this amount of genders, as I know that a lot of males enjoy the Hip Hop genre, therefore, it would be interesting to get the female opinions on the genre, and to see whether it would actually be popular within this gender. I know that I would want my magazine to be targeted at both males and females, therefore, this information I received from the questionnaire will definitely be suitable and will help me make decision on the content in my magazine.

* The most popular age within the

majority who completed my

questionnaire are 16 year olds. Ages

also includes 17 year olds and 19 year

olds, however no 18 year olds. This is

suitable for my feedback and

research as the main age f the people

who took my questionnaire are within

my primary audience, therefore they

are part of the most important

audience, in the context that I will

produce my magazine mainly for

them. However, my magazine will

still reach out to older people up to

the age of 35, as these are my

secondary audience. However,

unfortunately no people of this age or

similar age range were able to do my

questionnaire

* I wanted to get an idea of what people’s favourite genre’s was, and to my surprise, a lot of people chose my current genre for my magazine, which is Hip Hop. However, the next most popular is pop music. This piece of information is definitely significant, as I now now that a lot of people enjoy this genre, therefore my magazine would be quite popular and enjoyed by a large majority of people. Knowing this could mean that a lot of 116 to 19 year olds do generally enjoy this genre, which supports my idea of my target groups. However, as shown in the pie chart, other genres like Metal, rock and R&B are not as popular as genres like Hip Hop and pop, this could also give a idea of target groups, and what certain ages prefer when it comes to music.

* This set of results is significant as it allows me to see what magazine people enjoy to read, and to see what is popular, as I can get inspiration and ideas from that particular magazine. Vibe magazine was definitely the most popular. This is also at my advantage as it is a Hip Hop magazine, the same as mine will be. This shows clearly that I should read more of vibe to understand what people enjoy to see in magazines and what hey like to read around the Hip Hop and Rap genre, as I could incorporate their original ideas into my own work, so that my target audience would be satisfied and happy with the content I have included.

* This set of results is quite even. There was 15 people included in this survey, therefore 5 people each are on each of these points. This could help me create my magazine, as it gives me a range to work with if I was to include this subject in my magazine. If people enjoy listening to music at these hours they may be interested to read a magazine on the genre, which would help me to grab attention to my magazine, also, if I needed to include information from this subject in my magazine, I could look back to this to see what aspect is most appropriate to include in my magazine.

* This is a quite important set of information, as it will help me decide what to feature and how to design my magazine to try and make it look appealing as possible. A lot of people chose the options Celebrities/Artist and Music Genre. This will help me while producing my magazine as I now know that I have to make my genre clear and also to include aspects of celebrity in my magazine, so that my target audience will notice my magazine and enjoy reading the content I have provided on these subjects.

* This question allows me to understand how people listen to music, and what device they us. This will help me when I come to writing the content in my magazine and to choose popular methods of device, buy looking back at this result. Most people choose to listen to music on a phone. This is significant to tis particular age group, as phones and technology is an important aspect of teenage life, and a phone is a main item to them. As I now know this, I can include terms around the subject of phones and devices as such to grab attention to the reader, as this is a subject that they will understand. For example, including scans and barcodes of such that they can access through an app on their phone.

* This lets me know how many people buy music from different kinds of suppliers. This will help me as when I need to know the most mainstream way of buying music, I can look back to this if I want to mention it in my magazine. Most people chose iTunes. This is definitely the most popular option nowadays. Knowing this, I could mention this method in my magazine and readers will be able to have easy access, as it is over the internet and they will also understand the concept of iTunes.

* This is possibly one of the most important sources of research as this will help me complete my contents page and also my double page spread. Here people have stated what they would prefer to see in a Hip Hop magazine and what they would find interesting, which is what I need to find out, to make my magazine as interesting as possible. A lot of people want to see a new Hip Hop artist feature, and this is significant, as this is what I was planning to do in the first place, and this research can support my ideas, as people do want to see new artists as features. Another popular option is 2014 hits and News In Hip Hop. These could also be suitable and interesting to use in my contents page, as it will look appealing to readers.

* Colours are extremely important

for designing purposes and also the

for the suitability of my magazine,

as I want it to fit in with my target

audience, which is 16-35 year olds,

and colour can help me define

Some people stated more than just

one colour, hence the size of the

pie chart. However, this will just

help me even further during the

designing of my font cover,

contents page and double page

spread
