1 S T QUESTIONNAIRE REVIEW-FROM TEST BUDDY

I need to change the open question to a closed one as it would be easier for me to analyse but give me more specific results if I list the types of food.

I had to change these because the brief states you have to include other activities other than sport and include another question box saying none.

For this question I need to include more than just fruit and veg I need to incorporate other food groups.

The layout isn't very interesting and it has no pictures so I need to update it and make it nice to look at.

. I need to include another text box saying other, just in case they want to include some more ideas

I need to add in some more questions about there emotional health and how people try and improve their well being.

I need to include a introduction at the front explaining why I am doing this survey and how it will benefit me.

COPY RIGHT PICTURESI am a UK student and wish to use your healthy foods picture in my coursework for ICT. The exam board requires me to check if a picture is copy righted and then get permission to use it if this is the case. My teacher and the exam board are the only ones that will see this picture in my work and as your picture is copy righted I was asking if i would be allowed to use it for my healthy foods questionnaire? Thank you.

This gives me authorisation to use any of their pictures from their site so I have used them all in my questionnaire

IMPROVED QUESTIONNAIRE

IMPROVEMEN TS AB OU T MY QU ESTIO NN AIRE

I have used my colour scheme to separate the sections because this is a running theme and it is clear and more simple.

I have included pictures so that it is also visual and so the target audience can see what the questionnaire relates to without having to focus.

I have changed my open questions to closed questions, this is so on my spread sheet when I am analysing my questions I can validate them with a drop down box which would be far more simple and easier to use.

I have written two brief sentences at the beginning explaining what the questionnaire is for and how it will benefit me.

I have included more questions to get a better range of answers and more detailed results

I have expanded on some questions going into them in more depth to find out more, e.g. What sports they play – how long for each week?

I have included a time frame in some of my questions to make it clear and the target audience understand what is being asked of them. E.g. How many hours do you exercise in a week?

I have made the questions cover more subjects and they are not bias

I have included texts boxes saying ‘other’ so that I can get more feedback on everything they do.

I have included a lot of activities under one question not just sports but general getting fit activates, as some people do things to keep fit other than sports.

SPREAD SHEET VALIDATION

For my validation all I did was after I wrote out my question, I wrote far down, my two options, male and female; I then had to go to data which is on the tool bar and click on data validation.

Page 7: Questionnaire and Spread sheet Print screens

After clicking on data validation It showed m some options of how I would like my two options to be shown and I chose list, this is because it is simple and quick to use and understand.

I then highlighted my column and clicked ok; this then gives me a drop down box for each person down my column. This was my validation.

SPREAD SHEET COUNT IF

Count ifs are very useful for finding out the amount of people who chose a specific answer out of many for example hockey. I clicked on my total box for hockey as this is where I wanted my answer to go and clicked FX this then shows me which rule I’d like to use, countif, and I continued with this rule.

I then clicked on this button, this lets me find which answers I want to be found by letting me highlight it.

Then I clicked on my other page where all my results from my questionnaire is kept I wanted to do it separate because it is easier to read.

Page 10: Questionnaire and Spread sheet Print screens

I highlighted my column for all my sports and what the count if will do is pick out how many people chose hockey.

Page 11: Questionnaire and Spread sheet Print screens

I then brought me back to my results and in the criteria box I wrote hockey as this was the sport I wanted to find out about and I then tally's up all the answers and gives me how many people chose this sport. I did this for all my questions so it would give me a better understanding of how many people chose what.

NAMING THE COLUMNSName each column with a word to do with the question and go onto formulas and name manager and highlight the column in reference for example, age, and this was for my countifS’s.

COUNTIFS

For my countifS’s I had to click on fx and type in countifs and then type in the column name, for example, food group and then write which specific item I wanted to know what people had from it, fruit and veg ……..

I then had to write what else I wanted to find out, whether the people who ate fruit and veg the most drank 6-8 glasses of water everyday, which then gave me the number from my questionnaire.
