Transcript of Questionnaire analysis

I asked a group of people a series of questions that I felt would allow me to filter my

magazine to a demographic. This power point will display my results and what features I aim

to use in my final magazine.

Analysis of questionnaire results

My questionnaire was predominantly answered by Females.

This portrays the idea that my magazine is predominantly for women as it is quite feminine.

Question 2

Out of the people who completed my survey, half were 17 years old or younger and the other half were between the age of 18 to 20.

This is an accurate representation on the age I will be aiming my magazine at, my target audience; 17-30.

Question 3

My results show that the audience answering my questionnaire often read magazines.

Question 4 InStyle, Q, NME and Vogue were the 4 most purchased magazines.

This is why I have decided to model my magazine against NME and Q for example.

Question 5

People who completed my questionnaire believed those magazines they talks about purchasing in the previous questions are a moderate value for money if not a great value. Mixed bag of responses, however, ‘A lot of value’ is the most popular answer.

Question 6

All of the people who took my survey said that there favourite genre of music magazine was Indie.

This will be reflected in the genre and theme of my magazine as I’ve chosen to base mine between the Indie and Pop genre.

Question 7

The preferred price range for a magazine was between £2-£3.

Average price for a magazine.

This will be represented in my magazine when I price mine at between £2-£3 also.

Question 8

The audience who answered my question said that they would prefer the magazine to be in-between simplistic and colourful. This will be reflected through my magazine, as although I’m going for a predominantly black and white magazine, I’m adding a splash of red into it as well.

Question 9

100% of the people who answered my magazine said that they preferred there to be an interview from an artist in a magazine, hence why I will ensure the article on my double page spread is an interview also.
