WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM

THE PRELIMINARY TASK TO THE FULL PRODUCT?

From the progression I have learnt numerous things and from both the magazines it is clear that I have improved.

Here are some of the things I learnt: How to crop neatly with the magnetic lasso

tool How to do an outline, border on the masthead

which I have been trying to figure out for a long time

How to manipulate the image and change the lighting

How to airbrush How to overlap layers

There were many improvements from my School Magazine contents page to my music magazine contents page and I also learnt a few things from them. E.g.• I should keep the colour simple and not

too cheesy looking and also keep a certain colour scheme which I did not do in the school magazine so it looked cheap.

• I also learnt its best to number the cover lines as it would be easier for the audience to read and when they are deciding what magazine to buy they may see a certain band in the contents page that stands out.

• I added a black border around the main headlines to make it more neat and stand out.
