Sorcha McVeighQUESTION 7

During the photo shoot in my preliminary task I learned about all the problems that can come up when you try and get the right picture for your magazine. I found out how hard it was to direct the model and that the lighting and the setting is very important when taking the pictures. I feel that the photos that I took for my main task compared to my Preliminary Task where of a higher quality as I felt it was important that the photos where good as the readers said that was the fi rst thing they see when looking at the magazine.

As my skills in Photoshop and InDesign got better I felt the quality of my photos and of my media product was going up. Looking at my front cover on my preliminary task I feel it looks unprofessional and it doesn't look like a real school magazine for example my cover-lines are hard to read and don't have a short blurb telling you what they are about. the fact my image doesn't take up the majority of the page makes it look unrealistic and leaves a lots of blank space. When I went on to do my main task i learnt how to use the software more which helped me to produce a more realistic media product.
