Transcript of Question 6
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT AB OUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE
PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
I have learnt how to construct a blog which shows my journey
from creating a preliminary task to creating a music magazine
front cover, contents page and double page spread.
I have also used blogger to upload various items of work
including videos, photos and power points to contribute to my
coursework.
Blogger also allowed me to view other blogs related to media
coursework which helped me gain an idea of what I had to
complete.
SLIDESHARE.
Slideshare was good for uploading work such as
magazine deconstructions, as I could make the work
using power point so the front page, contents and
double page spread were all in the same document,
and then using slideshare I could upload the whole
power point onto my blog.
BUBBL.
Bubbl was good for creating mind maps that
showed planning for things such as what the indie
folk genre included, or what things made up a page
of a music magazine.
Photosnack allowed me to upload photos (e.g. my
photo shoots) quickly in style that suited my genre
and in a form of media programmes.
It also makes such photos easy to look at and scroll
through, whilst showing the variations of photos I
took.
DAFONT.
By using dafont, I was able to pick out, download
and use styles of font that would connote the indie
folk genre e.g. hand written styles.
Dafont allowed me to also make the house style of
my music magazine more individual.
PHOTOSHOP.
I was very uncomfortable using photoshop when
producing my preliminary task, but as I proceeded to
create my music magazine I became more comfortable
and was able to navigate through the programme more
easily.
I learnt how to manipulate my image by cropping,
altering brightness and contrast, as well as how to layout
a page in the style of a magazine.
CAMERA AND LIGHTING.
Using a camera allowed me to take the photos I
needed for my front cover, contents and double page
spread.
I also learnt camera shots such as close up, low
shots, high shots to achieve the image I wanted.
Lighting allowed me to create the light natural
atmosphere associated with indie folk.
