2. Wordpress. 3. Wordpress.Wordpress was where my blog is placed.This was the main item I would look back at,it reminded me of what I needed to do andwhen I was planning to do it. My blog mademe more organised. It allowed people whowanted to view my blog see clearly what Ihad done and when I posted it. My blog alsogave me the option to organise my blog into categories. This meant I could put all ofmy research and planning in one categorywhich makes seeing previous work donemore easier to access. People who want tosee stages of the project can also done thesame by clicking on the category which isthe one they want to view. It is also placedin chronological order which helps me andthe viewer see how much progress I havemade. 4. Wordpress.On wordpress when creating a new postyou are able to choose which categoryyou want it in. It also allows you to editthe date of a post published and whattime it got published. You can do this bypressing the quick edit on the post youwant to change. This is helpful because ifyou make a mistake and put in it in thewrong category or have forgot to uploadsomething you can go back and put it inthe right order and time frame so thestages are still in chronological order. 5. Wordpress.Wordpress also allowed me to post linksand polls up. For example whenresearching trailers I was able to placelinks in my post and write my commentunder the trailer itself. This was helpfulbecause it allowed me to refer back tothe trailers I had chosen and comparemine own to actual one out there, it wasalso a lot quicker to do this as it was onmy blog in a category rather thansearching for the trailer on youtube.Wordpress also allowed me to place pollsin the posts. This helped me to collectdata from my target audience. 6. Wordpress.I have also used wordpress touploaded my story board to useas a guideline when filming mytrailer and I have written a smallcharacter profile so I can keep inmind how I want my character tocome across in the film trailer. Ialso got my actress to look at thecharacter and story board beforeI filmed the trailer so she had abetter understanding of thecharacter she was playing. I feelthis made a big difference as theactress had more confidencewhen acting as she knew moreinformation. It also meant thatthe film went more smoothly. 7. Google.I used Google to get to Medi@chs which is myschools media website. On this website therewere links to other websites which would helpand give advice in planning our trailers. Theblog also has not only my own blog on but myclass mates blogs which allows people to seewhat the class mates have done. Its also a wayto get to get some target audience research bygetting people to vote on the polls which youhave previously made on wordpress. Thesepolls allow me to see the results and find outwhat my target audience would like to see.Deadlines are also put on the blog which helpsme to stay organised as anything that is postedon the main section of the blog automaticallysends an email straight to your email addresswhich means I have a constant reminder. 8. Google.I used Google to research Filmmagazines and posters. Googleallowed me to view are range ofdifferent genres. This allowed me tohelp compare them when analysingthem. I have also used Google to getpictures of advertising such as busstops so I could place my own posterover the top of them. I also used a sitecalled dafont to create my film namein the style I wanted. This font helpedthe name stand out on my poster andfilm magazine because it was sodifferent from the normal ones youget. Googlewas the main place I went to domy research for my poster andmagazine because it had such avariety of examples. I could also bevery specific in what style I wantedto research and Google still gaveme examples such as I typed in toGoogle inception poster and itgave me lots of different examplesof the film posters. This meant Icould choose the best poster toanalyse and get the best researchfrom. 10. Google.I have also used Google to research existing identsand logos that are already out there. I have mainlyfocused on the colours and the layout of theidents. I also looked at how idents changeddepending on the film such as the WarnerBrothers logo changes to a darker colour beforethe Harry Potter film so the logo fits in with thetheme of the film. I also used google to researchfilm age guidelines and the definition for each ofthem. This was helpful and I had to bare in mindwhat I could put in my trailer and if it was suitablefor my target audiences age range. AI also usedGoogle to research green preview screen to go atthe start of my trailer. I wanted to add this inbecause I wanted my trailer to look moreauthentic. 11. Youtube.Youtube has been one of the main site I haveused this year. I have used the site for a variety ofstages such as researching existing trailers anduploading my own. This required me to have mypersonal login. Youtube gave me a variety oftrailers to look at. At the beginning when doingmy research on trailers I wasnt sure which genre Iwanted to use I researched a variety of genres,they were Fantasy, Horror, Comedy and RomanticComedy. Youtube also allowed me to manage myown videos which was very helpful because it wasanother way of seeing which versions of mytrailer I had uploaded. I could also give eachversion I uploaded a name which helped with theorganisation. 12. Youtube.I also used Youtube to help me design myident. After doing some research on previousidents I wasnt sure how to create an identwhich moved. I decided to type in to Youtubethe software name I was using and ident at theend. This allowed me to see a variety of resultsand I choose a tutorial to listen to. As I waslistening to the tutorial I was on After Effectsand following the individual steps. Once I hadfinished creating my ident I uploaded it on toYoutube and placed it in a post on my blog.
