My Audience

My target audience for my music magazines are generally the higher educated and generally older groups, I chose them because I thought they’d be the groups that would react the best to a magazine of this genre.

Young and Rubicams Group

Succeeders - because - beyond just the visual aspect of a film - specialist areas such as soundtracks.

Aspirers would also be likely to purchase - educational purposes, rather than recreational like the Succeeders - studying Music courses at A-level or even University - learn specialist terms and phrases for an essay or exam.

I don’t think there is much of a Mainstreamers or a pop-culture following for soundtracks -movies, games or even theatrical soundtracks - that’s why I think that my magazine will be a specialist that will sell for higher prices if labelled as a journal/magazine.

Socio-Economic Group

Between A and C1 - mainly middle class because - higher educated groups in society - university degrees/high end qualifications - cultured background - perception of music and films is much more evolved compared to people from C2 to E.

It isn’t necessarily true as people who may currently be studying at college/university for a degree in film studies would definitely be interested in the magazine, yet their socio-economic group would be D to E

The socio-economic chart isn’t necessarily right for identifying the right target groups.
