The Herbal Alternative to ViagraErectile Dysfunction, also called impotence, is the inability to sustain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse and affects millions of men worldwide. If you have ever thought of us-

ing Viagra (Sildenafil) to help strengthen your erection or make it last longer, then think again. Known to increase the blood supply to the

blood vessels of your penis, the little blue pill has a number of side effects like headaches and painful erections.

This drug should not be used if you have heart disease. What’s more here in the Philippines most of these products are sold through markets and street vendors and are usually either “counterfeit” i.e., they are in the same pack as real thing and may contain diluted elements or a “fake” which also are in the same looking pack as real thing but may contain nothing or worse still other inferior ingredients and will have no effect.

But if you’d still like to use something to give your erection a boost, there is also a myriad of “Herbal Viagra” brands such as Kamagra, Black ant and more sold here in the Philippines. Most

of these are untested and the risk to the consumer is they just won’t work or the side effects are severe or even fatal.

Another reason to be wary is that you can’t be certain what you’re taking. Some products marketed as “herbal viagras” have been

pulled off the market because they contain undeclared prescription medications. It can be dangerous to take supplements that contain

unknown amounts of prescription medications or other unidentified in-gredients.

This does not mean to say that there are not good herbal viagra products around. One such example is SATURO, an interna-

tional brand available in the Philippines.

We interviewed SATURO’s Managing director Rob Bu-chel and can report that :

“SATURO has no known side effects normally asso-ciated with products such as Sildenafil Citrate or

Tadalafil. SATURO is product essentially of nat-ural ingredients blended with the softer more palatable chinese chemical, Hongdenafil.

Customers have reported an increase in the size of their erections in length and girth when using SATURO. This is due to the maximum amount of blood driven into the penis and the benefits of the herbs will keep the penis larger even when limp. SATURO has full Quality As-surance processes and certified USA Lab reports.”

SATURO is only available through appointed agents.

International Medical travel is the concept of traveling to a particular destination for health care services. These services are offered by countries with qualified and experienced health care professionals working in some of the highly technologically advanced facilities in the world. International medical travel helps medically underserved residents locat-ed in the US, Europe, Australia, Canada, and Asia.

The Philippines has been growing as a tourist destination of choice for health and wellness because it is home to some of the best hospi-tals and stand-alone specialty clinics in the world, offering world-class expertise, state-of-the-art facilities, topped with the distinct warmth of the famous Filipino hospitality, all available at only a fraction of the cost in Western countries.

In the Philippines, one can get medical treat-ments at surprisingly low costs. Apart from the surgical procedures, the medications which are required during the recovery pro-cess also cost less in this country. The cost of living in the Philippines is also very low when compared to foreign countries. So, even if the accommodation and transpor-tation costs are added, the total treatment cost for visitors will be very much lower than their home country. In many cases, the entire medical treatment, vacation and travel costs are less than just the medical treatment in the patient’s home country.

From complicated heart surgeries, kidney

transplantation, eye surgery, knee operation and hip replacement to beauty enhancement surgeries, all sorts of medical facilities are available in Philippines for Filipinos, expat residents and international patients. The Philippines has a pool of competent physi-cians in top JCI accredited hospitals coupled with a support staff of English-speaking, culturally sensitive nurses, and caring (with malasakit or concern) health and human resources, making it very competitive com-pared to its Asian neighbors Thailand, Ma-laysia and Singapore.

Most of the medical staff has international exposure, being trained and having worked in places like the US, Australia, and UK. Many of the doctors spend almost 2 months a year abroad for advanced studies so as to be fully updated with the latest developments in their field of work.

Wellness combines seven dimensions of well-being into a quality way of living. When we balance the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, occupational, spiritual, and environmental aspects of life, or quite

simply put, mind and body, we achieve true health and therefore, true wellness. Foreign patients will not have any trouble in get-ting around as English is spoken by almost 90 percent of the population here. Hospital rules dictate that all communication should be carried out in English.

The medical staff can easily explain to their patients all about the medications to be taken and the precautions that should be followed after the treatment. This reduces the chance of misunderstanding which can occur be-tween a foreign patient and a doctor. More-over, the health care centers in Philippines have help desks and translators at your ser-vice, round the clock

The Philippines offers the services of many super specialty clinics and over 2,000 hos-pitals. The private rooms in these hospitals have facilities that are at par with five star hotel rooms.

One such hospital is the newly opened Med-ical City Clark (TMC-Clark), a 150 - bed hospital complex located at the Clark Free-port Zone.

TMC-Clark has an extensive list of board certified physicians in a variety of specialties

and sub-specialties. They offers distinctive specialized healthcare services by board cer-tified physicians. Their well trained team of physicians has the experience and expertise to provide comprehensive care for your spe-cialized health care needs.

Revolutionary New Acne and Scar Treatment!

Cosmetic surgery includes surgical and non-surgical procedures that reshape or restore surfaces of the body in order to improve appear-ance and self-esteem. One of the most in-demand non-surgical services is ACNE and SCAR TREATMENT.

NOUVELLE CLINIC in Angeles City, offers a superior solu-tion for rejuvenating and resurfacing the skin that is very effec-tive in the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, acne and oth-er scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, skin pigmentation

and discoloration, sun damage, and uneven skin texture. What is this solution?

Its an innovative laser treatment using the most effec-tive and technologically advanced CICU Fractional CO2 Laser, available only at NOUVELLE CLINIC.

How does it works?

With fractional laser resurfacing the laser beam is broken up or fractionated into many small micro beams which are

separated so that when they strike the skin surface small ar-eas of the skin between the beams are not hit by the laser and left intact. These small areas of untreated skin promote a much more rapid recovery and healing. The small areas treated by the fractional micro beams, cause sufficient laser injury to promote new collagen production and resultant facial skin rejuvenation. The treatment du-

ration usually takes 30 minutes or less per session. What should I expect after the treatment?

Immediately after the procedure, the face swells up slightly and appears somewhat red. Patients notice immediate softening of wrinkles, fine

lines and scars. Thousands of tiny white dots about the size of hair strand can only be seen close-up. Swelling subsides in 1 to 2 hours. The white dots become darker and disappear by third or fourth day.

You will not see the results of the procedure until 2 months AFTER the treatment is performed. Your body is sending collagen, blood, water and oxygen to the face to tighten the skin. Because the CO2 treatment facili-tates the natural body cycle, the procedure takes a while to see the results, but the treatment is more long term. You may need more than one treat-ment depending on the condition or desired results. How should I take care of my skin after laser resurfacing?

It’s important to remember that skin treated with laser resurfacing may react in different ways.

Page 29: Quest magazine- May 2015

21May 2015

Most commonly, you may feel like you have moderate sunburn. There will be swelling and redness of the skin. You may experience itching or sting-ing for 12 to 72 hours after the procedure. Five to seven days after laser resurfacing, your skin will become dry and peel.New skin will form after the treated area has peeled. This skin will at first appear pink. It should begin to gradually lighten for up to a year after treatment. Your doctor will not consider retreating the area until the area is completely healed.Daily sunscreen application is necessary after healing to protect the newly laser-resurfaced skin. A “broad-spectrum” sunscreen, which screens both ultravioletB and ultraviolet A rays, is recommended. A sunscreen specifically formulated for use on the face should be chosen, with at least a sun protection factor(SPF) of 30. Liberal moisturiser application is also recommended after healing. 10 Secrets To A Beautiful SmileEveryone wants a healthy smile they can show off to friends and acquaintances. However, a healthy smile doesn’t come naturally. You need to take care of your teeth and gums to ensure that your smile remains healthy.

1. If your mouth hurts, you have waited too long to visit your dentist. Most den-tal issues will not cause immediate pain. Cavities and gum disease are silent. If you are experiencing pain, you may have bacteria and infection. Get to a dentist as soon as possible, of course, but don’t wait that long next time.

2. You probably don’t vis-it your dentist as often as you should. Twice a year is actually not enough visits for an adult. Every 90 days is ideal. After three months, bacteria cleaned out by your den-tist are recolonizing. 90-day visits may seem expensive but, ultimately, they are worth it.

3. Seeing your dentist regularly can save your life. Gum disease can be a sign of heart disease. Inflammation in your gums and in the arteries of your heart can be linked. Seeing your dentist regularly will benefit your smile and your health, too.

4. If you are afraid of your dentist, be-cause you know the treatments will hurt, you need to find another dentist. Every aspect of dental discomfort can be man-aged with a specific medication. Find a gentle family dentist, and discover that taking care of your teeth doesn’t have to be painful.

5. Your mouth tells your dentist the whole story. Your dentist can tell if you

have issues or habits like coffee or soda drinking, and past drug problems. Peo-ple who experience stress may clench or grind their teeth. Even bad breath can tell a lot about you.

6. Not everyone has the same shade of white teeth. Your tooth color and hair color both tell your dentist about the shade of white that is natural for you. Each person has a different whiteness po-tential.

7. Nothing could replace dental floss. You can buy toothpicks or sharp de-vices for picking your teeth, but they don’t get all the way in between teeth, like floss does. Most bacteria hides be-tween your teeth, and brushing only attacks 50% of it. Flossing gets the other half.

8. How often should you buy a new toothbrush? This should be done every 90 days, right after your 90-day dental check and cleaning. If you use mechan-ical toothbrushes, just swap in a new head.

9. There are times when you can’t brush. At these times, it’s a good idea to rinse with a mouthwash, to kill off bacteria. If you don’t have mouthwash available, rinse your mouth with warm water.

10. Is there really one “best” time for brushing? After meals works quite well, since three times a day is essential. You should floss three times a day, too.

Once you find a friendly, family dentist like Glitzy Smile Clinic in Olongapo City you’ll find it easy to stick with these secrets to a healthy smile.
