2002 as Managing Director, Mining & Minerals Processing after more than 15 years of executive and managerialexperience in the mining and minerals industry. He was elected to the Hatch Board of Directors in 2005.Previously, he was Senior Vice-President, Operations at Barrick Gold. Mr. Fauquier is a graduate of Queen’sUniversity with a B.Sc. Applied Science and the Canadian Securities Institute’s Canadian Securities Course.
Kenneth ThomasFormer Senior VP, ProjectsKinross
Prior to joining Kinross, Dr. Thomas was Global Managing Director at Hatch. From 2003to 2005, he was Chief Operating Officer at Crystallex International, and earlier in his
career he was Senior Vice-President, Technical Services at Barrick Gold. He earned his Ph.D. from Delft Universityof Technology in The Netherlands, and is a Fellow of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum.Prior to arriving in Canada, he worked in the British iron and steel industry, the Zambian copperbelt and the SouthAfrican gold and uranium industry.

Mr. Flumerfelt has worked in the global mining sector for over 30 years.He has held senior positions with various mining operations throughout
Canada, Africa and Asia. Mr. Flumerfelt joined Redpath in 2003 as Senior Vice-President ofOperations and was promoted to his current position in 2005. He has also served as Chairmanof the Ontario Mining Association.
