Quarterly Newsletter October November December 2017 Hello fellow parents! The holidays will fast be upon us and we are creating a Sweet Peas Family Recipe Book. In order to do this, we need your help. We are asking families to send in your favorite recipes. It can be an appetizer, entree, dessert, snack or any recipe your family loves. Feel free to include a picture or personal story too. Please submit all recipes as well as any questions to [email protected] no later than November 15 th . Books will be distributed before the holiday break in December. Thank you! PTB Holiday Cookbook: Seeking Recipes Meet the Parent-Teacher Board Executive Team Upcoming PTB Events October 2 nd – 5 th : Potluck dinners with SPV teachers, 6pm – 8pm 16 th : SPV PTB Meeting, 4pm November 4 th : Fall Fest, 12pm – 3pm 20 th : SPV PTB Meeting, 4pm December 18 th : SPV PTB Meeting, 4pm Come join Sweet Peas & the Parent Teacher Board at the Annual Fall Festival, November 4th from 12pm to 3pm! Gather to celebrate all the season has to offer while supporting SPV. Enjoy hayrides, potato sack races, hay hunt, homemade photo booth, fun fall crafts, face painting and more! There will be a hot dog food Event Spotlight: Fall Fest, November 4, 2017 truck, PTB sponsored bake sale and raffles. A variety of vendors have signed up so far, including Lil' Toot Handicrafts, KnitWit Sisters, Usborne Book Fair, Tastefully Simply, and Silhouette Art Gifts with more to come! This event is open to the public so be sure to invite your friends & families! SPV and the PTB look forward to seeing everyone there. With the relaunch of the PTB, we’ve elected a new executive team to lead the charge. Here are the parents involved in PTB leadership, sharing what motivates them. Co-President Diana Munoz Rios I want to help create a tight inclusive and multicultural community of parents involved in their child’s education and development. Co-President Heather O’Neill I want to have a voice in shaping this vibrant, energetic community that supports my kid’s growth & learning. Co-Vice President Lindsay Miller Education is an important part of our children’s lives and I want to work with the school to make sure we always have a wonderful place for them. Co-Vice President Peter Hopelain I look forward to working with a great board to serve Sweet Peas. Treasurer Lauren Drury I joined the SPVPTB to learn more about the resources available to the kids and to meet more parents. Secretary Emily Rowland Sweet Peas is a very special place and I wanted to get to know and help the wonderful people who make the school so unique and welcoming Social Chair Beth Kourakis I love bringing people together.
