What is the sum of the series : 1,4,9,16,25,36 . . For 10 terms? Formulae: N(N+1)(2N+1) / 6 =10(10+1)(10*2 +1) / 6 =10 * 11 * 21 / 6 = 385 answer.


What is the sum of natural numbers from 100 to 200? Fomulae = n(n+1) / 2 Sum of first 200 natural numbers = (200(200+1)) / 2 =200*201 / 2 = 20100 Sum of 100 natural numbers =100 *101 / 2 = 5050 20100 – 5050 = 15050 + 100 = 15150

What is the sum of series 1,8,27,64,125 . . . For 10 terms? Formulae : = ( n(n+1) / 2)^2 =(10(10+1)/2)^2 =(10*11/2)^2 55*55 =3025 answer.


12th element in the series 1,3,5,7 . . . Is ? This is AP (arithmetic progression) with

starting term (A ) = 1 and common difference (D) of 2.

Tn = A + (n-1)D =1 +(12-1)*2 =1+22 =23 answer.


What is the 10th element of the series -1,2,-4,8 . . ? As we can see that this is Geometric

Progression, with A (starting term) = 1 and R (ratio of two terms) = -2.

Tn = A * R ^ (n-1) =-1 * -2 (10-1) =-1 * - 512 =512 answer.


The 25th term of the sequence 1,4,7,10 . . . Is ? This is AP (arithematic progression) with

starting term (A ) = 1 and common difference (D) of 3.

Tn = A + (n-1)D =1 +(25-1)*3 =1+72 =73 answer. .


What is arithematic mean between -6 and 14? Simple average of -6 and 14 = 8/2 =4


What are the 2 arithematic means between -6 and 14? Let us assume -6 to be first term and 14

to be 4th term. Let us now find 2nd and 3rd term.

4th term is A + 3D = 14; A = -6 Thus 3D = 14+6 = 20. D = 6.66 2nd term is A+D and 3rd term = A+2D Thus 2 arithematic means are 6.66+(-6)

= .666 and (-6) + (2*6.66) = 7.3 ans.


Sum of N terms of an AP is 3n^2+5n, what is AP? Sum = n/2 (2a+(n-1)d) n/2 (2a+ (n-1)d) = 3n^2+5n Let us assume the value of N =1. ½(2a+0d) = 3+5 2a = 16, or A = 8. (now put the value of 8

and let us assume N = 2). 1(16+D) =12+10; D=22-16 = 6. Thus series is 8,14,20 . . . Answer.


The Nth term of the series is (3N-1)/6, what is the sum of this series? Nth term of the series is A+(n-1)D A+(n-1)D=(3N-1)/6 Let us assume N =1. A = 2/6, now let us assume N=2. 1/3 +1D = 5/6 or D = 5/6 -1/3 or D = 3/6 or

1/2 Sum of series is N/2(2a+(n-1)d) =N/2(2/3 +(N-1)1/2) =N/2 (2/3 + N/2 -1/2) =N/2 (n/2 +1/6) = N/2*1/6 (3n+1) =N/12 (3n+1) answer.


The sum of a series of AP -8, - 6, -4. . Is 52, what is N? Sum = N/2 (2a+(n-1)D) =A = -8, D = 2 N/2 (-16 +(N-1)2) = 52 N/2 (-16 +2N -2) = 52 N/2(2N – 18) =52 N^2 – 9N – 52 = 0 N^2 -13N + 4N – 52 = 0 N(N-13) + 4 (N-13) = 0 N = 13 or – 4, so N = 13 Answer.
