Ever since the 1980s, promoting children’s physical and mental development by high quality pre-school education has been the common goal of worldwide reform in pre-school education

3.Successful approach of improving pre-school education in Guangxi

Government is responsible for the overall plans, investment, monitoring etc.

Scientific planning, improve pre-school education policy system in order to offer policy support to pre-school quality.

Take ‘Model Kindergarten Evaluation’ as a chance to develop the pre-school education and improve education quality of this area.

Reforms below have been successful in evaluation in Guangxi:

Focusing on the process of combining evaluation with construction.

Diversity of the evaluation team.

Implement dynamic evaluation, change tenure-track in order to ensure the standard of the model kindergartens.

According to ‘Outline of the long-term plan for education reform and development in China(2012-2020)’, by 2020, a one-year pre-school education will be overall popularized and the gross enrollment rate will reach 95%. This is going to be a new challenge for China’s pre-school education.
