The NFoPP Awarding Body is a specialist Property Sector

regulated qualification organisation. We are the sister

company to the National Federation of Property

Professionals, which encompasses the Association of

Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), the National Association

of Estate Agents (NAEA), the Institution of Commercial &

Business Agents (ICBA), the National Association of Valuers

& Auctioneers (NAVA), the Association of Professional

Inventory Providers (APIP) and the Association of Internal

The NFoPP Awarding Body is regulated by Ofqual and Welsh government. Our qualifications are not onlyaccepted for membership of various professional bodies but are also recognised within the sectors as thepremier qualifications within the property industry.

What do the Levels mean?

Level 2 Qualifications are equivalent to GCSE standard andare a good starting point if you have no knowledge withinthe subject area. It is not compulsory to begin at this level.

Level 3 Qualifications are equivalent to ‘A’ Level Standardand are perfect for those working within the sector butholding no formally recognised qualifications.

Level 4 Qualifications are equivalent to ‘Certificate ofHigher Education’. Learners need to hold the Level 3 inorder to undertake this higher level qualification. The Level 3demonstrates the required knowledge, which is then builtupon within the Level 4.

How do I begin?

Start with reading the relevant information within this pack, and then visit the NFoPP Awarding Body website where theexamination regulations, current syllabuses, test centrelocations and other relevant documents can be found, alongwith clear steps on how to proceed.

The next development step is the Certificate, which is a much higher qualification and you need to beworking in the industry and have detailed knowledge of the sector. We suggest you have a minimum of5 years’ working experience before you begin this higher level qualification. Do I have to begin with the lowest level qualification?

You can choose whether to undertake the Level 2 or Level 3, if both are offered, but allcandidates are required to hold the relevant Level 3 in order to undertake the Level 4.

If I hold the Level 3 what can I do next?

Within England and Wales you can undertake the Level 4 Certificate for Sale ofResidential Property, Residential Letting and Property Management or CommercialProperty Agency.

How can I study?

You can purchase study materials from MOL which support each programme; alternatively you can research the topics following the syllabus on the website.

Am I now a full member of a membership organisation, for instance NAEA, ARLA,

ICBA, NAVA or APIP?

No, you need to approach the membership organisation and apply for full membership.The Awarding Body is totally independent.

Are there any taught classes for these qualifications?

You may find companion training available for some qualifications; visit the membershipdivisional websites for details. The Awarding Body does not offer taught programmes;all of our qualifications are home-study programmes.
