What is a square? A shape with four straight, equal sides and four right angles.

What is a right angle? An angle that measures 90 degrees. (hint: the corner of a sheet of notebook paper forms a right angle.)

What is a parallelogram?A shape with four straight sides where opposite sides are parallel.

What does parallel mean? When two sides are equal distance apart and are going in the same direction, and they will never cross paths.

What is a rhombus? A parallelogram with opposite equal acute angles, opposite

equal obtuse angles, and four equal sides.

What does acute mean? Less than 90 degrees (smaller than a right angle).

What does obtuse mean? More than 90 degrees (larger than a right angle).
