Now dedicated to the pastel medium, Meg enjoys working both in her Northampton studio as well as outside, en plein air, whenever possible (particularly at night). Meg is a member of several art organizations such as the Pastel Society Of America, Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, and the Connecticut Pastel Society. Her award-‐winning work can be seen in shows throughout central and southern New England. Artists Statement: As an artist, I am constantly inspired by the world around me. Most of my paintings are of places from my everyday life. I don’t often seek out beautiful places to paint, because inspiration and beauty are
everywhere, just waiting to be noticed. Being mindful and aware of my environment allows me to observe these moments as I go about my day. With my work, I try to create a visual memory that will transport me back to the scene and evoke the same emotion I felt when it captured my attention. My hope is that it will also capture the viewer's attention and allow them to see and feel the moment, as if they have been transported with me.
