Locating places on a map

Look at the map of Queanbeyan. Locate and circle the following places:

Queanbeyan River, Our school, Riverside Plaza, Your house, An eating place, A place you go with your family.

Label these places or use a key to show these places on the map.

Lesson 2: The Earth.

Read the PowerPoint.

Discuss the answers to the true or false questions during a meal with your family.

Read and follow the directions to make a sun dial.

PDHPE

Think about what makes a safe place. What does it mean to be a safe place? What does it look like in a safe place? How do you feel when you are safe?

Create a poster showing a safe place.

Creative arts

Design a new spacesuit for astronauts to wear in space. Label your drawing and then have a go at making it using recycling materials or other creative materials you have at home.

Music

Create a beat using your body. For example, clap your hands, pat your legs, stomp your feet or click your fingers. It needs to be done in a consistent tempo.
