date)Changes to 2007/8 process• 3 routine random visits• Non executive Director may attend some Practice

visits• QOF Review Group (looking at the Practice data) –

Heads of Departments may send deputies where appropriate

5% Review Visits 2007/08• 3 practices randomly selected by PEC 5 March 08,

selected practices will be notified by 31 March 08. Visits will be undertaken in June/July 2008

Possible PPV outcomesFailure to submit evidence of reviews to Brown Book standard by 31.3.08

No payment will be made for review indicator (Can3, MH9, Dem2)

Proposed disease register work fails to have an noticeable impact on prevalence

No payment will be made for disease register (unless practice can explain variation and demonstrate verification process to patient level)

Failure to submit specified Grade A evidence by 31.3.08

No payment will be made for relevant indicator

Failure to provide Grade A evidence that meets the Brown Book standard

No payment will be made for relevant indicator

All practices clinical disease registers will be reviewed on an individual basis, the PCT will discuss any outstanding issues with practices to provide opportunity to provide necessary evidence to verify
