Day 1. Arrive Darwin, Embark Ship. Arrive in Darwin and be transferred to your boutique ship, the MS Caledonian Sky, for what promises to be an epic journey. Enjoy dinner on board as you set sail. 10 Night Stay: MS Caledonian Sky. D

Day 2. At sea. Today you have the opportunity to become familiar with your expedition ship with a full day at sea. Relax and enjoy the many public areas available to you including the Sun Deck and the Panorama Lounge which features a bar and floor-to-ceiling windows. You also may like to enjoy some engaging presentations from your Expedition Team. BLD

Day 3. Koolama Bay, King George River and Falls.

Wake up in Koolama Bay, named after a merchant ship bombed by the Japanese in World War II. Arriving at King George River, the highlight is sure to be King George Falls, the highest single drop falls in Western Australia, plunging approximately 80 meters over a magnificent sandstone cliff. BLD

Day 4. Vansittart Bay, Jar Island. With your Expedition Team, walk across salt flats to view the fascinating wreckage of a US Air Force DC3, which crash landed on the beach during World War II. Later, visit Jar Island and discover the island’s outstanding rock art gallery. Marvel at examples of the Kimberley’s mysterious Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings, dating back some 20,000 years. The art consists primarily of human figures wearing tassels and headdresses, and there are many theories as to who exactly created these fascinating paintings. BLD

Day 5. Bigge Island. Off the coast of the Kimberley,

approximately six kilometres from the mainland, Bigge Island is filled with fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. The island is well known for its Indigenous Australian rock art, which was created by the Wunambal people. In caves throughout the island, you will have the chance to discover this incredible art for yourself, with many examples of paintings including fascinating first contact art and mysterious Wandjina figures. Return to your ship for dinner. BLD

Day 6. Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River, Mitchell Falls. Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs, green rainforest and mangroves. With its extreme tide and pristine eco systems, there is an incredible range of wildlife to discover here including saltwater crocodiles, mudskippers and birds. Explore the Hunter River and visit Naturalist Island where an optional helicopter flight to Mitchell Falls departs (own expense). BLD

Day 7. Careening Bay, Prince Regent Reserve, St George’s Basin. Visit Careening Bay, the home of the Mermaid boab tree, and where Phillip Parker King was forced to beach his damaged ship HMC Mermaid in 1820. You’ll explore Prince Regent Nature Reserve, a protected area, and cruise St George’s Basin. BLD

Day 8. Montgomery Reef, Doubtful Bay, Raft Point.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure today as the magnificent Montgomery Reef ‘rises’ out of the ocean as the tidal waters

cascade down into the surrounding channels. Board your Zodiac to experience this natural phenomenon up close and discover the reef’s diverse marine life. Cruise through Doubtful Bay, an amazing location for whale watching during the season. Later, travel ashore at Raft Point to visit an ancient Wandjina art site with a local guide. BLD

Day 9. Talbot Bay, Horizontal Falls. Head to Talbot Bay, known for its massive

12-metre tides that create an amazing spectacle, the unique Horizontal Falls. Subject to tidal conditions, embark on an exhilarating ride through the falls on a high powered fast boat. You may also get to see Tawny Nurse Sharks. Later, take a Zodiac cruise through stunning Cyclone Creek, and be sure to keep an eye out for the many unique species of native birds that call this special place home. BLD

Day 10. Buccaneer Archipelago, Adele Island. En route to Adele Island, cruise the

Buccaneer Archipelago, home to more than 800 stunning islands. Arrive at Adele Island, and explore this important location for breeding seabirds including the Lesser Frigatebird and the Brown Booby. Later this evening, bid farewell to new-found friends and your exceptional crew as you savour a Farewell Dinner. BLD
