Easy Grammar texts include Grades 2* through 6 and Easy Grammar Plus. Beginning with prepositions, concepts are taught within sequential grammar units. Using this approach, a sentence is stripped to basics; this enables students to comprehend subject-verb agreement and important elements in their language. Concepts build throughout each text. Easy Grammar Ultimate Series texts are similar to both Easy Grammar & Daily GRAMS. They are like Easy Grammar in that they are teaching texts. Q. What are the strengths of Easy Grammar texts?A. Students use a “hands-on” approach (deleting & marking). Unique strategies
help students learn in an easy – yet thorough – way. Using information previously learned to expand concepts promotes mastery learning. This method – easy to teach, easy to learn, and easy to remember – produces excellent results!
Q. I love Easy Grammar teaching texts. Must I use a Daily GRAMS?A. No, but the daily reviews using these texts result in even more learning.
Q. What is the difference between a t. ed. and a student workbook?A. Teacher editions contain teaching instructions, strategies, answer keys, &
reproducible pages. The workbooks, which contain only the student pages, save time and the expense of copying.
Q. At what grade level do I place students in Easy Grammar?A. Place students at their grade level. However, if they struggle in grammar
usage, start at the previous grade level. The exception is an 8th grader (or older) who lacks understanding. Place him/her in Easy Grammar Plus for solid basics. After completing Plus, place the student in an EGUS text.
Q. What grade level is Easy Grammar Plus?A. Easy Grammar Plus is a non-grade level text often used at Grade 7. Students
in junior high, senior high, college, adult education, and English-as-a-Second Language benefit greatly from its content.
Q. How many pages daily should I complete in Easy Grammar?A. The completion of two or more lessons per day is usual. However, progress at
the students’ own rate. If a concept seems difficult, do only one lesson that day. Our goal is mastery, not speed. If you do not complete the text by the end of the school year, begin the next school year where you stopped.

Q. What is the difference between Easy Grammar & Daily GRAMS?A. Easy Grammar texts teach concepts, which are presented as units. Daily
GRAMS are review texts and are designed in a daily-lesson format.
Q. I’m using another teaching series. May I use a Daily GRAMS text?A. Yes, these daily reviews promote learning!
Q. Should one lesson per day be completed in Daily GRAMS texts?A. The program is designed in the format of one lesson per day. Dr. Phillips
suggests that you begin each language class with a Daily GRAMS lesson. After your students complete each lesson, take time to discuss answers. Then, close that text and move on to your grammar, reading, or writing lesson.
Q. Why are both an Easy Grammar & a Daily GRAMS recommended?A. Dr. Phillips found that her Easy Grammar approach helped students to
understand English. They scored extremely well on standardized tests as well as in class. When Dr. Phillips wrote and added 10-minute Daily GRAMS lessons, she found learning to be greatly enhanced. Students performed amazingly, especially in capitalization and punctuation.
