    MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

    Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

Last week we officially said a fond goodbye to Iona Sadler who worked

tirelessly in our school for as long as I remember! I had the pleasure

to teach all her girls, and I met her back in 2002 when teaching Bryn-

    dis.

Iona worked closely with the school firstly as a parent, acting as Presi-

dent of the PTA and then moving into our Admissions and

Development officer role. It was a role she carried out professionally,

efficiently and productively, and she always found time to help in

    other areas.

One example of this was her work with the organization of the CIS

    visit this year.

On behalf of the international staff I thank Iona sincerely for her work and effort consistently

throughout the years. The manner she maintained the important ties with the parent community

has been something the school has been able to build on. Her general knowledge of the school and

her pleasant manner in meeting new parents of the school always left a lasting impression.

We wish her and her family all the best for the future.

    Jayson Williams

    International Principal

Seen to the right one of our students with the book made forIona, with contributions from all students in PYP.

The D Wing Egg Drop! The children worked hard together to build a device that would protect their egg. Conflicts arose but in the

end each group came up with a creative solution to the problem.

    Tensions

    were high

    as we

    dropped

    our eggs

Success or failure was not the primary concern. The joyful learning from both was in the focus leading

to a high amount of fun and practical learning.
