Filterite is the innovator and leader in applying metal fiber technology tofiltration. Demands for finer filtration, better flow characteristics, longer on-stream life, and improved cartridgedesign are a few of the ever-changingneeds of industry. Time after time,Dynalloy and Dynamesh filter cartridges and media continue to meetthese challenges.
Dynalloy Media: A Proven PerformerDynalloy is a depth-type stainless steel fiber filter media manufacturedunder strict quality control. The metallurgical properties are closely controlled to provide a highly corrosion-
resistant product. Fabrication beginswith the manufacture of discrete micronsize fibers. A uniform mat of thesefibers in a randomly laid orientation isthen constructed. The mat is compactedand sintered (metallurgically bonded) to provide strength and integrity. Theresult is a high void volume, closelycontrolled pore size media.
Dynamesh Media:High Flow and QualityFilterite also provides a full line ofDynamesh precision woven stainless steelwire cloth media with good permeability, narrow pore size distribution, and excellent corrosion resistance.
Dynalloy metallic fiber filter mediaoffers unique advantages. It combinesthe strength, resistance and cleanabilityof stainless steel with the desirable filtration properties of random fiberdepth type media. This means:
• 3 times greater dirt-holding capacityand longer on-stream life than anyother type of metallic media.
• 4 times higher flow than othermetallic media of comparable ratingand area.
• 2 times higher porosity and permeability for processing even viscous materials at lower pressuredrops.
• Pleated element configurationsfor extended filter area and highthroughput. (Exclusive advantage ofDynalloy media.)
• All welded construction for excellent chemical stability – noextractables.
Dynalloy media and cartridges from Filterite use extremely fine metallic fibers to create a filter mediawith very high porosity (void volume) incomparison with thick, dense powdermetal structures. As demonstrated here,Dynalloy’s increased void volume meanshigher flow rates and greater dirt holding capacity when compared withpowder metal media of the same rating. Extended area pleated Dynalloycartridges enhance these advantages even further.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
FILTERITE FIBER METAL STORY
• Excellent mechanical strength foruse at high differential pressures (upto 150 psid) and temperatures(750° F).1
• Freedom from media migration,non-fiber-releasing.
• Retention of both rigid anddeformable contamination.
• Resistance to unloading even undersevere shock conditions.
Dynalloy is manufactured in accordancewith the highest industry standards. • Closely controlled pore size
distribution, for consistent, repeatablefiltration results.
• Absolute Removal. Ratings established on the basis of continuallymonitored lab and field evaluations.
• 100% bubble point testing of every cartridge prior to shipment guarantees integrity.
1Please consult with our Technical Service Departmentwhen sizing high differential pressure and high temperature applications.

The unique capability of Dynalloy fiber metal media to be pleated offers significant advantages over rigid, nonpleatable powder metal. PleatedDynalloy cartridges provide Superior
Flow, Contaminant Capacity, and Life. That means fewer cartridges and smallersystems to do the same job, (typically1/2 to 1/4 the number and size requiredwith powder metal).
