First we need to know the words.
Greatest means biggest.
Least means smallest.
Look at Place Values
Look at Tens and Ones
One digit numbers are smaller. 0-9
Two digit numbers are
bigger.

One Digit Numbers
The numbers 0 - 9 are smaller.
We only see them in the ones place.
