As we all know, there are 3 groups of

food: the Go food which gives us energy.

They are the kind of food that is rich in

carbohydrates such as rice, bread,

potatoes. Grow food is the group which

is rich in proteins such as milk, meat,

beans, eggs.








They function as a body building food

and responsible for repairing tissues.

The last group is the Glow food such as

fruits which boosts our immune system.

It would be a wise choice to buy food

assured that food is kept in a clean and

It is truly important to observe proper

storage of food to keep avoid food

poisoning. Safety is the most important

point to consider since it is not only us

who will be eating the food but other

people as well. We don’t want to end up

in hospital with the rest of our family, do

we?








So it is a must to be strict in handling

food. The handlers and the materials

should be clean. We also need to keep

the kitchen as hygienic as possible to

prevent the bacteria and virus that could

cause food poisoning. People who are

poisoned suffer from stomachaches,

vomiting, and diarrhea.








Good quality food storage will also be

free from bacteria brought about by the

cockroaches, rats, flies and other insects

which could be messing with our food. It

would protect us from getting

Leptospirosis and other sickness that is

brought about by these creatures. These

diseases are life-threatening especially

Aside from those above, storing food has

other benefits to offer. If we know how

to store food properly, we can actually

save money through the process called

preservation. We can place the products

in a container and preserve it to last us

for several months.








For example, it is a mango season; we

can make mango jams and other

preparation that can preserve the

mango. It is cheaper to buy the products

when it is at their peak season. It also

makes the food to be still available even

if it is no longer the season.








We can also save more if we buy products in

bulk since bulk is cheaper. Another reason is

that it would actually save us from the hunger

in cases of emergency. There are times that

disasters just come without warning. In times

of calamity, we often can’t go out of our

houses because of flood or because the road

is blocked and it would be a great help to

have a stored food in our house.








Storing food has a lot of purposes. If

done properly, we can even save money

and remain healthy. It is just a matter of

being wise in planning and choosing the

right container. With preparation,

nothing can go wrong.
