Purpose of the session
• To develop an understanding of how to motivate teams to perform…… as required by a practising or potential team leader
Objectives
• By the end of the session you’ll be able to:– Explain organizational
performance requirements
– Describe how to spot underperformance in the team
– Explain the causes of underperformance and actions to rectify
– Define Motivation– Identify your personal
motivators at work– Describe a theory of
motivation– Explain how to apply
the theory to motivate your team
We are all motivated by different things
• 1 persons meat is another's poison• No one size fits all• Different strokes for different folks• 1 persons motivation is another's
procrastination
