Conclusion
• The IDT has contributed, but is not the driver/ responsible government structure for the Mud/Inappropriate Structures Eradication programme. NDBE & Provincial DoEs are responsible
• Recently DBE was allocated R8.2 billion over 2011-2013 MTEF period for an Accelerated School Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI). IDT is currently in discussion with NDBE for possible participation
• As outlined in the IDT Service Delivery Model, the IDT’s work and products are dependent on the programmes it has been contracted to implement by the client department
• A list of schools completed in the 2010/11 financial year is attached for information purposes.
