Better Materials Equals Better Sleep The bedding collections created by Excel feature the finest combination of materials, including those that are renewable and environmentally friendly, which work together to create the optimum sleep environment. The goal is to feel as comfortable as possible when going to sleep and have our bodies properly supported throughout the night. When we wake, we feel refreshed and rejuvenated. We achieve this by combining a variety of components that function to promote a healthier, deeper sleep with less tossing and turning. This method of packaging is important for several other reasons; competes with online mattress sellers, easy to deliver and set up, great for cash and carry, reduces the mattress’s carbon footprint and is part of the “preconditioning” process meaning the foams are softened and cell structures opened. This means there is no break-in period for the new mattress.

PURE BREEZE™

The Pure Breeze 12” ventilated bamboo charcoal + gel-infused memory foam mattress quickly became a destination at Art Van. Based on the phenomenal success of the Pure Breeze ventilated bamboo charcoal memory foam pillow, the Pure Breeze mattress assortment was created to offer the same functionality and purpose; regulate moisture, reduce heat buildup, reduce insomnia, eliminate odor, stay fresh and speed recovery by promoting blood circulation. We use Bekaert Deslee’s Bungee Lynn fabric to enhance comfort via greater point elasticity. Our collection now includes a variety of support levels with our 7”, 9” and 12” models.

The Skye by Havertys collection is a 3 mattress line offering a choice of comfort and support levels.

The line offers value for those who like the comforting contouring sensation of Tempurpedic, but choose not to spend $3500 - $7000. Similar in design and construction to Pure Breeze, Skye has performed very well since its introduction.

Waikoloa

The Waikoloa combines natural latex and memory foam with a pocketed coil inner spring support

system. Gel-infused memory foam enhances contouring comfort while keeping the quilt panel cool. The responsive cooling ventilated natural latex cushions and supports the body in all sleep positions. The pocketed inner spring coils isolate body movement and support the curves of the body. The medium soft feel is wonderful for back and side sleepers. Introduced in 2004 and still an integral part of our 7 mattress assortment, we consider this the original hybrid.

New Edition II

The SlumberWorld New Edition II is a unique and exceptional crafted hand tufted mattress. Above

the individually wrapped pocketed coils are two layers of memory foam. The first is gel-infused memory foam. Above that is a layer of Pure Breeze bamboo charcoal memory foam. In combination, both layers not only contour and comfort the body in all sleep positions, but keep you cool and dry.

Ashley Furniture Industries

Excel developed the original Ashley Sleep collection. The line consisted of 3 memory foam mattresses and 3 latex mattresses spanning a variety of comfort levels and price points. Over the course of 2 years, we produced an assortment designed for both the Home Stores as well as its furniture customers. With personnel changes in the Ashley Sleep division, the program was not instituted, although it became the foundation of the highly successful Ashley Sleep Mattress program.

Dania Sleep 1000 - 4000

Originally designed for Plummers/Scandinavian Designs/Dania. The 4 styles that make up the Dania Sleep line were constructed to offer an array of comfort levels and mattress profiles. The DS 1000 and 2000 use organic cotton ticking, while the 3000 and 4000 featured bamboo ticking. Support comes from individually wrapped inner spring units.

Wolk

The people at Wolk asked us to design a mattress for back, side and stomach sleepers. The packing had to be suitable for low cost FedEx Ground and UPS shipping, yet deliver deep contouring comfort. We created a 12” mattress that not only addressed their targeted comfort and price point, but also offered exceptional cooling and drying functionality.

The same request came from Springtime Bedding for their Go Pedic line, however they wanted both an inner spring and specialty sleep assortment. We created 4 hand tufted inner spring mattresses, 3 gel-infused memory foam mattresses (GEL SERIES) and 3 latex mattresses (L SERIES).

Pillows A pillow is as every bit important to a restful and rejuvenating night’s sleep as the mattress. You can sleep on the most comfortable mattress, but if the pillow does not fit you or does not continually support the head and neck throughout the night, you’ll toss and turn or wake up with some discomfort or pain. A pillow is not only a critical add-on sale, but helps reduce comfort exchanges when fitting a guest in the store. Excel has a wonderful assortment of pillows designed for every sleep position. They vary in height, shape, fill and size. They make compelling displays as well.
