Pupils Response

2
Pupils Response Nowadays, teaching is not entirely depends on the content of the lesson. It also involves pupils’ involvement in the class. Therefore, our group prepared a lesson plan that involves pupils’ participation in class. First of all, throughout the lesson, we gave few questions to the pupils. The pupils had shown good response towards the question given. However, there were some pupils who did not react well when the teacher asked questions. It could be that they did not understand the instruction given by the teacher. Since it is a mixed ability class, each pupil does not have the same understanding like the others. Apart from that, pupils only responded to the questions given by the teacher. The pupils were rarely asked questions throughout the lesson. According to Terry Heick (2014), he believed that pupils should be given more opportunities to ask questions rather than answer them. Giving more space for them to ask question will trigger their critical thinking skills. That is why pupils were always waiting for a signal from the teacher to talk.
