01 THE FILAMENTSLand of Lions

This is the title track from The Filaments’ new album – and their first in 9 years. !On this album, the band jump effortlessly between hardcore, ska, rockney, reggae and rockabilly tinged punk rock anthems. !"Tales from the Barside" even sees them joined by Cockney legend Chas Hodges of "Chas n Dave" for a knees up guaranteed to have the underground rocking. !The 13 track offering combines intelligent song writing with a rawkus sound; provocative lyrics with a party atmosphere. !

Essentially, "Land of Lions" is a collection of anthems for the modern day working man, a soundtrack of dissent in troubled times, and takes punk rock back to being the unified voice of an angry, beaten down generation. !As punks of yesteryear Sham 69 sang, "If the kids are united, they will never be divided.” !http://www.thefilaments.com !For Fans Of The Casualties Street Dogs Cock Sparrer

02 LAY IT ON THE LINECondemned (Parts I and II)

The opening track from the band’s new EP ‘Vigilance’. !‘Vigilance’ is the band’s new 5 song EP – another concept recording exploring the story of George Hutchison, a friend of Mary Kelly, the last Jack The Ripper victim. !It was recorded by Neil Kennedy at Ranch Production House, he of More Than Life, Sharks, Landscapes, Departures, Vales. !The EP plays on the band’s Youth Crew influences more than their earlier EPs. !!!

It expertly blends their signature brand of screamo, melodic hardcore and angular riffs. !http://www.layitonthelinehc.com !For Fans Of Modern Life Is War Dead Swans Landscapes

03 TEST OF TIMERiptide

Taken from the band’s new album ‘The Price’ – out on Bridge 9. !Test of Time started very organically in the spring of 2012 by a group friends with a mutual admiration for the straight edge and a desire to form a band that was different than what was currently dominating the Boston scene. !Chemistry was immediate as songs flowed out at an alarming rate. The band quickly self-recorded and self-produced their debut 10 song EP Inclusion. !After a well-received release and playing numerous shows with bands they never thought in their wildest dreams they’d share the stage with, Test of Time

continued to write material at a steady pace. !The band quickly caught the attention of Bridge Nine label owner Chris Wrenn and the partnership with Test of Time was almost immediate. Now, they've teamed up to release Test of Time's new six-song EP The Price !http://testoftime.bandcamp.com/ !For Fans Of Verse Betrayed Champion

05 AMPMANDENS DOTREHell of a Fall

This is a new track from Oslo band that we came across doing a random show in London. !They're a 3 piece, vocal, baritone guitar and drums combo who formed in 2010. !The song is a comment on the growth of the Progress Party in Norway. !Although recorded during the Norwegian Discomfort sessions of June 2012, it is alarmingly hot today as this extremely right wing and xenophobic party now will take part of a new government after the recent elections. !

This song is about one of their representatives who had an alternative way of recruiting new members… !ampmandensdotre.bandcamp.com !For Fans Of The Melvins Death From Above 1979 Gallows

06 SVALBARDFlightless Birds

The Title track from Tangled Talk Records 7” single – released this month – from the Bristol based 4 piece. !Following their self-released 7" and 'Gone Tomorrow', Svalbard return with a new 7" single in the form of 'Flightless Birds'. !They tell us that they have drawn musical influence from crust, post-rock and hardcore, and lyrical influence from early 20th century existentialism. !In their words: 'Flightless Birds' alternates between moments of aggression and moments of frailty with an all-encompassing sense of desperate hope.

From the band’s new album, Rage In D-Minor. !As they put it: Loud, heavy, politically motivated, melodic hardcore, championing the anti-establishment indignation of many a great band before them. !Circle of Rage inject energy, passion, heart and soul into their music above all else. !A band with something to say and the balls to scream it. !!!!

A New Nottingham-based 3 piece formed by long time acoustic punk (Andrew) Shankland. !‘Lady You’ is from the band’s as yet unreleased debut, ‘I Ain’t No Morriset’. !Isaac formed in 2012 immediately after getting back from seeing Ted Leo.
