The grade sheet is a formal document issued to each student for Semester performance. The Grade Sheet
indicates the performance of the student during a particular semester in the form of letter grades The details of
evaluation and meaning of each letter grade is explained below
Evaluation:
a. The evaluation of the student is continuous and carried out through evaluation instruments namely tests,
quizzes, projects, home assignments, presentations, live projects, case participation, written examinations etc
b. The performance in “Credit-based” subjects is spelt out in terms of letter grades A, B C, D, E, F. Each letter
grade has a qualitative meaning and a grade point value as given below

c. The performance in “Audit-based” subjects, descriptive non-letter grades Satisfactory(S); Unsatisfactory(U);
are awarded which carry no Grade Point.
SGPA: “Semester Grade Point Average” is the performance indicator of the student for that particular semester.
CGPA: “Cumulative Grade Point Average” is the Cumulative performance indicator of all appeared semesters.
The CGPA which is a weighted average Is calculated as per the method given below:
CGPA = (C*G + C*G + C*G + …..) / Total Credits
C = Credit of a subject
G = Grade point of the teller grades awarded in the respective subject
When a student repeats a subject, the new grade replaces the earlier one in the calculation of the CGPA.
