What the Program is About…

• The “Snack Backpack” is the result of teachers and adults in the school system that noticed there were some students that didn’t have regular meals in the evening and on the weekends. They wanted to help.

What are the Snack Backpacks?

• The snack backpacks are put together for the youth that have been identified by their teachers as needing some food items during the evening, and weekend, hours.

• The backpacks are prepared by volunteers who pack the backpacks with ready-to-eat food that kids can open at home. They pickup the backpacks on their way home from school.
