This itinerary is personally prepared for your trip to the NorthWest zone. The program includes accommodations, transfers or car rental and excursions. During your stay, you’ll be provided with accommodations, you’ll take the excursions accordingly and we’ll provide suggestions to visit attractions independently. Most of the attractions are located in a radius of no more than 20 miles from each other. This brochure is a suggested program. Rates will be quoted on time.

Check-out from your hotel in the morning and head to Rincon in the Northwest coast. Rincon has some of the best sur�ng waves in the world and plenty of beautiful beaches. �e town of Rincon is also a destination within the destination. Sur�ng and sunsets has made Rincon famous, you’ll see why. Driving time: 2 hrs.

• Punta Higuero’s Rincon Lighthouse & Park (Rincon) – �is lighthouse and park is a great Shopping point in Rincon, o�ers a setting where you can relax and have a great view of surfers, Desecheo Island, the spectacular sunset and whale-watching during the mating Season. Tour guides are available by appointment with the tourism o�ce.

• Rincon Surfing Beaches – Popular and famous beaches in this area includes Spanish Wall, Indicator & Steps. Rincon is considered a sur�ng haven and it is well known as one of the best sur�ng spots in the World.

• Diving / Snorkeling Tours (Rincon) – Located at the Rincon Marina, minutes from Tres Palmas Marine Reserve. Day trips to dive and snorkel Desecheo Island, sunset and whale watching cruises, �shing and custom cruises. Experienced captains, dive masters and instructors will take care of you.

• Whale-watching – Humpback whales may be seen in the winter from the observation post at the Rincon Lighthouse. �e peak season is February, though whales have been spotted from late December through late March. Just ask around the marina or the lighthouse. In the peak season, you may see them a few hundred meters o� the lighthouse.

• Cara del Indio (Indian Face in Spanish) – Is a monument carved in the rock in honor of Mabodamaca, an Indian Chief that fought the Spanish Conquistadors in the early 16th century. You can see the face in Road #2 with intersection with Road #113 to Isabela.

• Blue Hole Beach – Also known as Shacks or Kiquebrado, is a perfect beach to practice snorkeling.

• El Pastillo Beach Natural Reserve – Very high-intensity waves characterize this sur�ng and �shing beach. While not recommended for swimming, it o�ers lagunas, calm tidal pools created by a reef, where it is safe to wade and explore. �e views are among the most scenic in the North Coast of the island and considered an ecological treasure.

• The Hermitage of San Antonio de Padua de La Tuna – �e Hermitage dates from 1730. It comprises

the ruins of a village that was abandoned in the early 19th century when the community moved to a more favorable location nearer the coast, which became the town of Isabela, founded in 1819. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

• Golondrinas Cave – Part of the sector of El Pastillo. �e cave is open to the public.

• Villa Pesquera Beach – �is is a very popular beach among locals.

Driving time: 30 minutes to Arecibo, 1 hrs. to Orocovis and follow to San Juan.

• Arecibo Lighthouse and Historical Park (Arecibo) – Is a cultural theme park located in the surrounding area of the Arecibo Lighthouse. It has a innovative and unique concept, beautiful views of the coast of Arecibo, a nautical museum, a replica of an Indian village, a small aquarium and a restaurant.

• ToroVerde (Orocovis) – Toro Verde is a new Ecological Adventure Park where you can spend the day enjoying some of the most breathtaking views of Puerto Rico while experiencing adventure with family and friends. If you are someone who loves the thrill of an adrenaline rush, Toro Verde is a must visit for you. �ere are more miles of zip-line cable in this adventure park than any other park in the world and its success has been selected by Travel & Leisure Magazine as the 23rd Coolest Attractions in the World to visit. • Arecibo Observatory (Arecibo) – Part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center (NAIC), is the site of the world’s largest single-dish radio telescope and attracts visitors from all over the World. �e facility consists of approximately 10,000 square feet of building and outdoor space. It houses 3,500 square feet of exhibits, a 100 person auditorium and a science store. It also provides an observation platform that o�ers a beautiful view of the 305 meter radio telescope. Visiting hours during regular calendar: Wednesday-Sunday 9:00AM – 4:00PM. Monday and Tuesday closed. Admission: Adults $10 / Children and Senior Citizens $6. Optional: • Camuy Cave Park (Camuy) – �is cave is the third largest underground cave system in the World and the Camuy River runs through it. �e Puerto Rico National Parks manages and runs this 300 acre park o�ering walking tours through this enormous cave system. Tour begins with a trolley down a steep rolling hill surrounded by lush tropical plants and beautiful landscapes. Call before your visit, it could be closed due to weather conditions. You need to arrive before 3:00 PM, the last tour is at 3:15 PM. Address: Road #129 Km 18.9, Camuy P.R.
