The UK Magazine Publishers industry produces and distributes magazines and periodicals aimed at individuals, tradesmen and professionals in print or electronic format.

In the United Kingdom, the magazine publishers industry creates and allocates magazines which are aimed at people like tradesmen and professionals in print or knower days electronic format.

There are over 200,000 people employed in the publishing industry, representing less than 1% of all those working in the UK. The publishing industry generates a turnover of £8.3 billion Gross Value Added and is one of the biggest earners for the UK creative media industries.

The publishing has got strong links with many other industries such as the photography and photo imaging industry to produce the photos on the magazine. It is also linked with the advertising and marketing industry because many companies advertise their companies on different magazines.

Heat - a British entertainment magazine published by German company Bauer Media Group. As of 2004 it is one of the biggest selling magazines in the UK, with a regular circulation over half a million.

OK! is a British weekly magazine specializing in celebrity news. Originally launched as a monthly, its first issue was published in April 1993.

NME, created by Theodore Smythson, is a UK weekly pop/rock music journalism publication, published since March 1952.

OK! Magazine is owned by Northern & Shell. Northern & Shell is a British publishing and television group. The holding company name is Northern and Shell Network Ltd. Northern & Shell also owns three entertainment television channels: Channel 5, 5* and 5USA

NME magazine is owned by PC Media Ltd. PC Media Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Time Inc., is a consumer magazine and digital publisher in the United Kingdom, with a large portfolio selling over 350 million copies each year.
