ZŁOCZEW – OUR TOWNZŁOCZEW – OUR TOWN

The first information found about our town come from 1496. However, the prime years of Złoczew were at the end of the sixteenth century when the owner of the town was Andrzej Ruszkowski. Over the years Złoczew had been gaining profits from the trade route leading to a neighbouring town – Wieluń. During the second world war most of the town buildings were destroyed by German armies. On the 20th January in 1945 Złoczew was liberated by the Russians. Since the end of the war our town has been gradually developing .

Złoczew is a small town ( over three thousand inhabitants), surrounded by beautiful forests.

Our school takes part in many ecological programmes.The students regularly collect secondary materials, like waste paper or aluminium tins.Every year we also organise ‘Eco rally’ to promote active way of spending free time and the environment protecion at the same time.In theschool library there are lots of ecological magazines and leaflets so as the students could learn about the importance of saving the nature, and the respect for it. During the Biology, Geography and English lessons students get to know about the exploitation of natural resources.

THIS YEAR STUDENTS FROM THE SCHOOL STARTED COLLECTING SECONDARY MATERIALS ,LIKE WASTE PAPER AND ALUMINIUM TINS, AND USED BATTERIES.LOTS OF STUDENTS BRING THE MATERIALS LEARNING HOW TO SAVE OUR PLANET.
