Council on Science, Engineering, and Mathematics in Education
This is a very special sub-group of the Council on Public Education. We are flagging badly in our competitive position in the world arena in many areas of research. The purpose of this sub-group is to promote Science, Math, and Engineering Education in cooperation with Public Schools and private industry. Tutoring networks to be established.
Council for Alternative Energy
Alternative Energy Providers and Stakeholders are given an opportunity to demonstrate their potential in the energy economy of the future. Focus on successful Wind, Solar, and Geothermal installations. Discussion as to alternatives to up-fitting existing utility plants in a safe and effective manner.
Remediation of existing issues, such as Oyster Creek, also to be discussed.

Workforce education
Public Schools Education and Administration Advisory Board
Specific duties are to create and promote a pre-k through HS curriculum based on the three R’s – where teachers are provided the freedom to teach the material, rather than teach to the test.
Effort to maintain students on grade level will be assisted by the opportunity within a school for students in middle school to move up or down – ability groups are used in BSA “Safe Swim Defense” – Our schools should be no different. “Sink or Swim” cannot and will not be the policy of our Schools.
Pension Reform Council
Three major Roles/Goals
1) Restoration of Pension funds pillaged by past administrations as a line-item in each year’s annual budget (NJ)
2) Removal of pensions for appointees in the future, and reduction to 10 year average of ONE position of service for pension amounts on appointees already retired. Don’t like it? Neither did Enron’s retirees. NJ PENSION PIGS program, identifying bad actors
3) Pension administration turned over to the individual UNIONS as represented. Elect good leaders, folks, and don’t tolerate pay-to-play with your pension dollars. YOU must take an active role in your pension.
SANDY RECOVERY resource advisory committee
Coordinate existing organizations with builders, lenders, insurers, and community officers to streamline the efforts – an abysmal failure, so far. Litigate against those who pillaged Sandy Funds. Demand prosecution criminally, and sue civilly.
Legal Immigration Reform Advisory Council
Clarify pathways to citizenship into simple, easily understood (and easily followed) processes. Constant Tracking of progress.
