History
1927 – incorporation of UKRHYDROPROJECT.
1994 - reorganization of UKRHYDROPROJECT into an open joint stock company
2009 – reorganization of UKRHYDROPROJECT into a public joint stock company
2010 – creation of a DESIGN ENGINEERING COMPLEX “GRANT” comprising UKRHYDROPROJECT PJSC, HYDROTECHPROJECT LTD., INTERDEPARTMENTAL CENTRE OF ENGINEERING RESEARCHES LTD., and UKRATOMENERGOPROJECT LTD. in the framework of structural reorganization of UKRHYDROPROJECT.
Major Projects
Over the years, UKRHYDROPROJECT has become a largest engineering company in hydropowerand water management construction in Ukraine.
Since its establishment, the company has designed large and medium hydropower plants (withcapacities up to 900 MW), small hydropower plants (with capacities from 0.4 MW), pumpedstorage plants (with capacities between 235 and 3,600 MW), Canals for navigation, irrigation, andwater supply for cities and regions, as well as hydrotechnical structures at ore and miningcomplexes, in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, and Georgia.
UKRHYDROPROJECT has also performed design works for hydro facilities in Vietnam, China,Laos, Mexico, Venezuela, Iraq, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and other countries.

1996-2002 – first phase of rehabilitation of the hydropower plants in the Dnieper Cascade, including:
• Rehabilitation of 16 units at the Kyiv, Kahovka, andDnieper HPP-1
• Replacement of electrical equipment • Replacement of excitation, speed control, and control
systems at unit, block, and plant levels, electrical protections
• Partial rehabilitation of auxiliary AC/DC system and cabling
2006-2017 – second phase of rehabilitation of the hydropower plants in the Dnieper Cascade, including:
• Rehabilitation of 64 turbines at the Kyiv HPP and PSP, Kaniv, Dniprodzerzhinsk, Kremenchuk, Kahovka, andDnieper HPP-1 and HPP-2;
• Replacement of excitation system, speed control system, control system, electrical protections, and electrical equipment
• Rehabilitation of auxiliary, fire extinguishing, air-conditioning, and service water supply systems, DC control boards, batteries, etc.
