%harma and %adanaThere is no need to read all the books from cover to cover. Prepare topic wise

in a comprehensive manner. Use examples, contemporary relevance, case

studies etc. Read case studies from The Hindu, Frontline, urukshetra and

!o"ana. # must admit here that due to paucity of time, # personally could not

refer to urukshetra but sometimes # did pick up selective issues and found

    them very useful.

For those topics that were covered in the class, # $rst used to read my class

notes and tried to understand them. Then, # used to refer to other sources for

more details and clarity. For topics that were not covered in the class, # be%anby readin% that topic from at least & di'erent books and understandin% the

basics. (ometimes, # also read the printed material to supplement my

knowled%e. Then # made my own notes for these topics.

)ext, # tried to memori*e all that # had studied so that # could recall the

crucial points at the ri%ht time. # used to do this by readin% my notes and

underlined portions in the books a%ain and a%ain.

Finally, to %ain con$dence, # used to write answers to as many +uestions as #

    could.
