Internal monitoring - fault indicationsThe following faults can be programmed to change the output signal to either 3.5 mA or 21.5 mA according to NAMUR NE43:

1. Sensor circuit is open (or abnormally large Pt100-resistance): 21,5 mA2. Sensor temperature falls below (3,5 mA) or exceeds the measuring range (21,5 mA)3. Verification of supply voltage

ESD- and EMC-approvalsThe transmitter conforms to requirements of the EMC directive 2004/108/EC and later amendments EN 61326-1. (TP KA2791-30)Deviation: ≤ 0.2% fs. The Low Voltage directive 2006/95/EC and later amendments EN 61010-1.

TPT12 GENERAL TECHNICAL DATA

DesignPt100 sensor element mounted in a conical protective sheath which in turn can be screwed into a sleeve or into an external thermo well. Sleeve and coni-cal sheath make a hygienic seal. The seal is EHEDG-approved.

Example of useTemperature measurements in tubing systems with hygienic demands e. g. in the food industry.

Max temperatureMeasuring part: 200 °C

Sensor material1.4404 or 1.4547

Surface finishRa ≤ 0.8 is standard. By electro polishing Ra ≤ 0.4 can be offered.

Response timeTime constant, τ0,90 ≤ 2,5 s in water 0.4 m/s according to IEC 60751.

The unique sensorThe basis for the TPT12 is the well-proven food product sensor. The sensor mounted in an appropriate sleeve is EHEDG-approved. The risk of bacteria growth is minimal after repeated use and cleaning.

Media pressureMedia pressure max 120 bar. Calculation made by Notified Body according to prEN13445.

Installation to mediaG1/8” to mount into sleeve.

SleeveSleeve for welding with selected standard radia, R: Flat, R = 19 mm or R = 14 mm.

Disposal of product and packingAccording to national laws or by returning to Pentronic.

RoHSSensors with cable conform to the demands of the RoHS-rules.
