Why should I join ? Speak up- This is your opportunity to share
your ideas about Parklane Stay informed- This is the best way to
know what’s going on in your child’s school Network- This is the best way to get to
know other parents and teachers in the Parklane community
Be a Role Model- This is a great way to show your child that you care about their education
What is PTA? Stands for Parent Teacher Association Local parent group formally affiliated
with state and National PTA PTA has dozens of paid employees Most National and State revenues come
from local PTA dues Paying dues is mandatory in order to
cover the estimated $700 National dues and insurance
What is PTO? Stands for Parent Teacher Organization An Independent parent group Has no official headquarters; there are
no employees to pay. Any dues or fees collected remain with
Parklane ES instead of giving a portion to a state or National organization
How do I join Parklane’s PTO?
Membership is Easy We are signing parents and teachers up
for $5 TODAY!!
We need officers too. If interested, please indicate that you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else on the PTO membership sheet
