February 22 – PTA Friday Sales February 25 – March 1– Dr. Seuss Week Activities February 28 – Patriot Parade, 3:00 pm MARCH March 1 – 3 rd , 4 th & 5 th grade OKC Science Museum Field Trip March 6 – KG, 1 st , 2 nd grade OKC Science Museum Field Trip March 10 – Daylight Savings Time: SCIENCE MUSEUM OKLAHOMA FIELD TRIPS John Adams students will have an opportunity to go on a field trip to the Science Museum in Oklahoma City. The 3 rd , 4 th & 5 th grade classes will go on March 1 and the Kindergarten through 2 nd grade classes will go on March 6. The buses will leave school at 9:00 am and return at approximately 3:00 pm. Students will be bringing home permission slips to attend. These slips MUST be returned to school before the trip. The cost to Dr. Seuss Week Activities Feb. 25 – Mixed-Up Monday Wear mixed up clothing! Shirts backward, inside out, etc. Feb. 26 – Whoville Tuesday Crazy hair day! Feb. 27 – Fox in Socks Wednesday Wear your wackiest socks! Feb. 28 – Cat in the Hat Thursday Wear hats! March 1 – Dr. Seuss Character Friday Dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss

SCIENCE MUSEUM OKLAHOMAFIELD TRIPS

John Adams students will have an opportunity to go on a field trip to the

Science Museum in Oklahoma City. The 3rd, 4th & 5th grade classes will go on March 1 and the Kindergarten through 2nd grade classes will go on March 6. The buses will

before the trip. The cost to attend is FREE through a grant provided by the museum. Please ask your children about these slips

and return them ASAP.

Is Your Child Getting Enough Sleep to Perform at His or Her Best? How Kids Can Sleep Smarter and Perform Better Kids know they should eat well and be physically active, but they don’t always understand that healthy sleep is also an important part of a healthy lifestyle. And while they often wish they were getting more sleep, they report sleep as the lowest scoring health item for things that are important for their well-being. In fact, did you know that 71 percent of students are sleep deprived by an average of 1.7 hours a night1?

So how much is enough? Is your child getting the adequate amount of quality sleep? Check out the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s recommendations.
