2.6 Set the necessary command
After installation and terminal power-on, it is needed to set the following parameters by the text message and debug tool,
which is described as the following table, to connect the terminal to the tracking platform; Default password is “000000”.
Set tracker ID
Format <password>GID<ID>
Remarks ID is the unique code for terminal’s data-upload. LiveGTS uses the ID to record and to check all
data from terminal. The length of ID should not exceed 15 digitals.
Example Send the command: 000000GID4045200
Terminal reply: SET OK,ID=4045200
Set server and port
Command <password>SVR<domain>,<Port>
Remarks Domain and port are used for terminal connecting to tracking platform; After setting, terminal will
connect to server automatically, and upload data after connected.
Example Send the command: 000000SVRDEMO.LIVEGTS.COM,8600
Terminal reply: SET OK,IP: DEMO.LIVEGTS.COM, 8600
It means the current server address is “DEMO.LIVEGTS.COM”, port is 8600
Set the wireless network access point
Format <password >APN<APN_name>,<User>,<Password>
Remarks Set the access point name, query local ISR for information
Example Send the command: 000000APNCMNET,,
Terminal reply: SET OK,APN: CMNET, USER: PASS
It means the current APN name is “ CMNET”, with accessing username and password empty.
Set uploading Interval
Command <password>GTI<base_int>, <distance>, <cog>, <mss_off_ratio>, <acc_off_ratio>
Remarks 01. base_int: Basic report interval, unit: second; When set base_int only, terminal will upload
GPRS data every base_int seconds;
02. distance: Interval of distance tracking, unit: meter;
03. cog: turning report; unit: degree; When the driving direction exceeds the preset value, tracker
sends a GPRS data ; This ensures a continuous smooth trace.
10
04. mss_off_ratio: Ratio under static state; After setting, terminal uploads GPRS data every
base_int second under moving state, while (base_int * mss_off_ratio) second under static
state; This parameter is valid in terminal with Motion Sensor.
05. acc_off_ratio: Ratio under ACC OFF state; After setting, terminal uploads GPRS data every
base_int second when ACC ON, while (base_int * acc_off_ratio) second when ACC OFF;
The <distance>, <cog>, <mss_off_ratio>, <acc_off_ratio> parameters are optional.
Example 000000GTI30,200,15
2.7 Start tracking on LiveGTS
There are 2 ways to be used for real-time tracking: SMS and LiveGTS.
SMS tracking has the following 3 ways:
Dial SIM card number, terminal hangs up automatically, and then sends a SMS about current location and status
information.
Send command "000000RCP", "000000RCM" or"000000RCA" to terminal, terminal will reply the current position
information, map links or address.
SMS timing tracking, setting terminal by STI command.
LiveGTS tracking: After setting terminal and adding to LiveGTS, tracking in LiveGTS is available, which is show as the
below figure.
