Conventional trough conveyor is the one of the key of material handling system. From
the simplest and shortest conveyor improved to become overland with many vertical and
horizontal curves provide on it. Conventional trough conveyor can convey many variety of
material such as coal, limestone, iron, cement, etc. It helps the transportation direct in internal
of plant or mill, and also can be applied on large area of land. With its economic character,
conventional trough conveyor is the most common used on industries and mine conveying
activities.
Conventional trough conveyor’s belt offers an efficiency of transporting materials in
large quantities of bulk, over distances ranging from a few meters to several kilometers,
continuously. It can be connected with other conveyor by using transfer tower, ploughing
system, or reclaiming system.

Pipe conveyors have come a long way since their
inception and today there are many turnkey contraction
companies offering pipe conveyors in the market. As a
technology, pipe conveyors have improved over the years
and suppliers have incorporated different features to
improve reliability and simplify the operation and
maintenance of these conveyors.
Pipe conveyors offer users the ability to transport
virtually any material in bulk at capacities in excess of 2500
tph. By virtue of its tubular belt form the pipe conveyor is
able to negotiate vertical and horizontal curves and in so
doing, provides an opportunity to eliminate transfer points
in a conveying system.
This attractive feature is complimented by the fact
that the pipe conveyor encloses the transported product,
an environmentally preferred solution compared to
troughed conveyors, can be designed for two‐way
conveying and generally makes of standard mechanical
components.

Stockpile or stockyard have central function in
material handling system which serve material buffers,
reserve storage, and material blending. These stacking
activities are balancing the fluctuation in quantity and
quality of material handled.
Stacker reclaimer consists of bucket wheel
reclaimer and troughed conveyor. It is ideal way to moving
and stacking large amounts of bulk materials in the shortest
possible time. The system of stacker reclaimer need
optimum handling technology which its components must
be matched up each other to ensure smooth transport
flows.

Dome conveyor is the ideal storage unit for any
granular type fertilizer, or also storage multiple types of
material. The conveyor system do reclaiming system
automatically by pulls the stored material to the center of
the dome and discharges to the load‐out conveying system
through an opening. The stored material will discharged
gravitationally until approaches its angle of repose. Then
the reclaim screw is lowered to the pile and the screw
begins to cut into the pile, gently assisting the material to
the discharge opening. Only during the final phase of
reclaim of material from the dome does the 'open' screw,
perform all of the work of drawing material to the opening
discharge.

Structural steel is steel construction material, a profile, formed with a specific shape or cross
section and certain standards of chemical composition and mechanical properties. Structural
steel shape, size, composition, strength, storage, etc., is regulated in most industrialized
countries.
Characteristics ‐ Structural steel differs from concrete in its attributed compressive
strength as well as tensile strength.
Strength ‐ Having high strength, stiffness, toughness, and ductile properties, structural
steel is one of the most commonly used materials in commercial and industrial building
construction.
Constructability ‐ Structural steel can be developed into nearly any shape, which are either
bolted or welded together in construction. Structural steel can be erected as soon as the
materials are delivered on site, whereas concrete must be cured at least 1–2 weeks after
pouring before construction can continue, making steel a schedule‐friendly construction
material.
Fire resistance ‐ Steel is inherently a noncombustible material. However, when heated to
temperatures seen in a fire scenario, the strength and stiffness of the material is
significantly reduced. The International Building Code requires steel be enveloped in
sufficient fire‐resistant materials, increasing overall cost of steel structure buildings.
Structural steel and reinforced concrete are not always chosen solely because they are
the most ideal material for the structure. Companies rely on the ability to turn a profit for any
construction project, as do the designers. The price of raw materials (steel, cement, coarse
aggregate, fine aggregate, lumber (for form‐work), etc., is constantly changing. If a structure
could be constructed using either material, the cheapest of the two will likely control. Another
significant variable is the location of the project.

The general fundamentals of design capacity of conveyor formula:
vFP ww
Pw : Total result of loading condition in a steady operating state of necessary power
at the periphery of the driving pulley
Fw : Total of the motional resistances in top run/return run in steady state operation
v : Belt speed
Motional resistance formula:
SStNHw FFFFF
FH : Total primary resistances – acting on top run/return run along conveying flight
FN : Total secondary resistances – locally limited to the head and tail of the system
Fst : Total gradient resistances – caused by the height differences between bulk
material feed and discharge
Fs : Total special resistances – occurs in partial instances, in top run/return run
(considered separately)
