Title: relationship café

The Overall Summary of this Cafe Design

Modernism Style

The building is designed to attract youngsters in this era, the reason for that is because youths nowadays

prefer cafes than going to restaurants. There is also a lounge area provided for adults, teenagers and couples

to sit down and relax if they want to. With our high class bar table and colourful background so that people

could adjust and evoke their mood to a luxurious and modernised feel of the building.

The Special Features

ZONE 1: The special features that could be found at zone 1 is a platform for couples such a companionate

lover to propose their engagement and to show their deep affection and commitment towards each other.

ZONE 2: When white is added to yellow, it’s luminous quality will increase and the overall effect will give

and extraordinary brightness. Organic LED light is used to transmit the light in different colours. In which

daylight, the organic light will detect and transform into brighter light. At night, it will illuminate with a

different colour.

Section Breakdown

Zone 1: In this area, red and pink colours arouses the interest and excitement but in a softer and quieter way.

The atmosphere and environment will give an impact and the change to bring the two person relationship

into love zone.

Zone 2: The colour blue represents loyalty, trustworthiness and stress- free feelings. While communicating

one feels closeness, boundless and warmth towards the others. This can enhance positive correlations and

able to bring them close to the state of friendship but without any feelings of intense passion or long- term

commitment.

Overall view of my building concept:

The café is built in circular dome shape, as would like to impact a different kind of design trend as café now

a day would not normally have. As the dome exterior are made with glass window as people are able to view

inside which will give a spacious feeling. In middle section of the interior of the café represent the lounge,

the concept is design in a way of youngsters or young adult would be able to have time relax and have a time

for communication. As for the two other sections which connected to the lounge, there are call the zones

which preferably that had the intention to effect emotional outcome.

Topic chosen:

We consist the group of six people have discuss and research towards the topic that had been lecture

throughout the whole semester and we find that we had use some of the sub topic from topic eight which is

the interpersonal relationship. As we know that some of this sub topics have help us out that are able to

imply towards creating our building. The triangular theory of love is most common use for our project as to

implement some spaces for the café.

Design of the building:

We have finalize the design for this café as we have chosen the style of modernism. Modernism had been

introduce in the later twenty centaury, is a style that distinguish between classical and traditional form. Also

in this era most of the youngsters and adult would like to spent most of their time in café like place, for

example “STARBUCKS”. Our design is to ensure that it’s able to compete against other modern café and

our café is a bit of mix design which infuse with clubbing style, which will enhance the quality of gathering

social people.

Who are to design for:

This café is to design to suite for youngster who are from the ages of eighteen to twenty plus and adults.

Before we design this particular café, we had run a survey towards different café and we had found out that

the youngsters and adults or even couples, they tend to have spent more time in café as likely to do

assignment, relax, and to socialize. Then we had come out with this specific design for our café in this way

as it also attract this specific people.

Summarize of this project:

Our group have intended to create two mahjong papers for the design of the café, the first mahjong paper is

well explain how are the design are develop, what style are chosen and what are the specific function for

each particular spaces. As for the second mahjong paper is to show how the interior structure looks like and

we have categorize each section with different view of perspective drawing.

Overall of choosing the theme:

The reasons of us choosing to create café is because, we had plan that we would like to create something

simple and a place where it draw attention of people naturally or even where people would like to spend

time to do leisure activity. Which also not to forget, couples or friendship state people are include in our

content to develop this café.

Conclusion of this project:

To summarize this contents, in conclusion our objective is to meet the requirement that fulfil the design

intention of our building, also we have categorize the content of our work in a presentation format. As well

as we had also held our presentation through video recording, we had demonstrated all the specific topics

and contents through verbally with including nonverbal gesture as to suite the video presentation.
