PSUTXT sign-up

Penn State students, faculty and staff, and members of the community, can sign up to receive PSUTXT alerts via text message, e-mail and Twitter. While individuals’ phone plans may charge for receipt of text messages, subscription to the PSUTXT service is free.

To subscribe, go to http://live.psu.edu and click on the link to PSUTXT in the left-hand column. (Figure 1, left)

Anyone without a Penn State access account can subscribe to PSUTXT using the form at the bottom of the page. (Figure 3, left)

Students, faculty and staff then should login to their existing accounts or create an account by clicking on the WebAccess link under the heading “Students, faculty and staff.” (Figure 2, right)

Once logged in through WebAccess for the first time, students, faculty and staff will see the page below.(Figure 4)

Those who already have a PSTUXT subscription should login on the upper portion of the page using their original PSUTXT username and password combinations, and click the button to link their PSUTXT accounts to their Penn State access account. This needs to be done one time only. (Red rectangle)

Anyone who does not yet have a PSUTXT subscription should create a New User account using the form on the lower portion of this page. (Blue rectangle)
