While the sun puts its best foot forward, lets get ready toface the new financial year with renewed vigour. By now, one isfamiliar with the recession story. By changing the rules of thegame in tune with the changing times, lets prune ourexpenditure, develop cost-sensitive processes, bring in newbusiness to the PSTS fold and continue to strive towards'Customer Delight'.

This is the best strategy to face the 'rainy days' - in a manner of speaking!

It is my pleasure to have this opportunity to pen down a few words about the Noble Man affectionately calledas "Peria Mudalali" or Periyavar". He was a pioneer in bringing the Port of Tuticorin as well as its developments. Heinvolved himself in almost all the activities and his follow-up till the completion of the assignments would becommendable. He honoured his dignified positions &ideas.

While attending to his functions, he used to be'pros' & 'cons' in all directions. As hisphenomenal, his compliance to theperfect at all times. His care in all steps ofwould be amazed as to how good, he had his"clientele care" was incomparable and heend. He used to commit himself holisticallycomponents simply. He is noble to all andkindness. His charitable mind had made allwhen they decide to flag off any

PSTS delights CITPL with quick service!

• PSTS provides consultancy service for Chennai International Terminal Ltd [CITPL], the second terminal of Chennai Port belonging to PSA-SICAL, for getting custodianship for their Container Terminal from Custom in the Port of Chennai in record time!

• PSTS also provided Custom Clearance for CITPL in clearing their quay cranes (3 nos) and Rubber Tyred Gantry (10 nos) (RTG)

Transhipment Service for "SeaReinforcement Material".

PSTS Logistics provided Transhipment services for Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Company Ltd., Korea from CITPL Terminal to Panchang, Indonesia fortheir consignment of "sea - reinforcement material.

Total Logistics solution from PSTS delights SANMINA - SCI

PSTS Heavy Lift & Shift Ltd provided total logistics solution to SANMINA-SCI in shifting theirentire plant and high value machineries from MEPZ to Oragadam SEZ .We handled sensitiveelectronics items worth over Rs.100 crores without any damages by designing/fabricating suitablesteel pallets with wheels and wooden packages to ensure safety for the cargo during transit. PSTSLogistics provided custom documentation services for the cargo transfer.

PSTS opens new Stock Yard in theoutskirts of Chennai

PSTS opens its newly acquired stock yard for handlinggranite, timber, steel and project cargo at ThiruvallurRoad . The forty metric ton gantry crane with 30 meterspan will facilitate round-the clock cargo handlingoperation

SAIL gives more work to PHLS

As they say, the reward for good work is more work .SAIL has awarded PHLS the Transportation business for moving their steel cargo from Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Bangalore to various destinations.

Happenings @ PSTS Industrial Training School :

1. Industrial Visit

Second batch students from Nagapattinam and Madurai district were takenfor an industrial visit to the harbour area. Everyone got a first handinformation about the Heavy Equipment's and gained knowledge about thescope of their job.Seen Here: Students during the field visit to Tuticorin Harbour

2.Campus Interview

On 09/04/09 the HR Officers from TVS Group came to the Tuticorin division for a Campus Interview. About 30 students attended the interview and among them 9 candidates were selected. The officers were extremely happy about the students‘ performance and promised to keep in touch with us for future recruitment also.

3.Valedictory FunctionOn 17/03/09 Valedictory function for the first batch was held in our Tuticorin campus, which was presided by Mr. TUdaysankar, M.D , PSTS Group. The Project Officer and Assistant Project Officer were the guests. Mr.T.Velshankar, Mr.T.U.Sathish Kumar, Mr. T.V.Arjun Shankar and Mrs. Mehana Sathish Kumar were also present. The function concluded with snacks and tea.

Chennai Division shifts to a new venue

PSTS Industrial Training School Chennai division shifts from Poonamalle Bypass Road to Thiruvallur Road where our new stockyard is located. New batcho f classes will resume from the end of June 2009.
