Is efficient & effective scheduling your concern? Attend to know:

What are and should be the general design and structure of a schedule?

Which scheduling practices can and should be used today?

Which level of detail is required for schedules for turnaround projects?

What influence does modern information technology have on scheduling and how intensive should IT be used?

How can I, as a manager and non-expert, decide whether our schedule is really good enough?

Do you want to know about latest technologies that can help you plan & execute safe and cost efficient shutdowns and turnarounds?

What are the latest technologies & softwares in the market?

Which technologies can help you address your plant shutdown challenges

How efficient and effective are the technologies?

What are the costs and benefits of these technologies?

During these times of global uncertainty, fluctuating oil prices and reduced margins, it is more important than ever to maintain existing plants and equipment with minimum investment. In todays environment, Oil, Gas and Power plants face a unique problem when it comes to managing the work and costs associated with Shutdowns, Turnarounds and Outages projects.

Historically, there was a tendency among operating companies to view turnarounds as an inevitable and necessary evil, and to accept that they would cost what they cost and take as long as they take. However, in recent years, there has been a growing recognition that this attitude leaves money on the table in the form of the opportunity cost of lost production while the facility is shut down for longer than necessary; and unnecessarily excessive expenditure of money during the turnaround, through running the turnaround inefficiently.

Turnaround projects are very time-critical, especially during periods of strong demand. However, schedules are quite tricky and are all too often neglected by management.

day 1 (MaiN coNfereNce) This day will address various scheduling issues in turnaround projects. This will highlight to the decision-makers the enormous potential that optimized scheduling can have on influencing the success of a turnaround project. Why focus on scheduling?

Conventional scheduling systems, methods and processes have many shortcomings when it comes to handling the increasing complexity and demands of todays projects. Coming up with a good schedule is a stern challenge in and of itself as it must provide a flexible navigation system to support the team throughout the execution phase. Project managers need to know the upto- date project status at all times, warn against threatening risks and find the ideal path, even though this changes from day to day. This requires tools that enable an immediate response, and this is what a good schedule is for.

day 2 (MaiN coNfereNce) This day of the event will highlight some path breaking technologies that are driving the complete cycle of plant shutdowns and turnarounds towards safety and efficiency.

Thoughtfully designed to encourage you to look outside of your company and industry, Plant Shutdown and Turnaround Forum will be a gathering where maintenance, reliability and shutdown professionals will engage in important conversations, find answers to common challenges and inspire one another to explore future opportunities

Next Gen Plant Shutdown and Turnarounds are SMARTER, SAFER, EFFICIENT & MONEY SAVING. This has been possible with the application of technology. IT & Communication, project management, data management, lean management principles and technologies have revolutionized theses critical projects thus saving time and money while ensuring safe operations.

A letter from fleming gulfThe 4th annual Plant Shutdown and Turnaround forum will be an extraordinary opportunity for you to gain specific, forward- thinking strategies and solutions to maximize results during your next shutdown, turnaround or outage. It has been designed to deliver thought-provoking insight and in-depth content covering important aspects of these critical projects. The event will ultimately introduce some innovative technologies that will help you improve STO efficiencies and effectiveness, giving you a greater return on your shutdowwn investment.

What makes the 4th edition different is that it is not just another conference; rather it is a community of maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, production and financial professionals, who are dedicated to coming together, sharing experiences, learning from one another and exploring innovative solutions and technologies. We are confident that someone in the community has the answer, right now, to your most difficult challenge.

We hope that you will join us in Doha, State of Qatar, for what promises to be an exhilarating event!
