With more than 1,000 initiates, the Delta riton Chapter has
influenced the lives o numerous men, cultivating lastingriendships in the process. Many o our best college
memories can be traced back to our Phi Sigma Kappa experience.
While many o our alumni have gone on to successul and distinguished
careers in engineering, business technology, and countless other
endeavors, the common bond o our brotherhood remains, along with
our shared principles and values. Most o us can trace the roots o our
success to one place: 302 Waldron Street in West Laayette.
Trough Phi Sigma Kappa we not only learned the importance o
riendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence, but we
acquired valuable assets, which include leadership skills, organizational
skills, social skills, teamwork, and character. Ofentimes, these traits
have been integral to our personal success and helped make us the men
we are today.
Our chapter house at 302 Waldron Street has clearly been the ocus
o undergraduate lie or Phi Sigma Kappa. It has been a home away
rom home or hundreds o young men and a classroom where our
brothers have grown intellectually, spiritually, physically, socially, and
morally. However, i we wish or Phi Sigma Kappa to continue its strong
presence on the Purdue campus, we must ensure that we are providing
a sae, modern, and competitive acility. Now is the opportune time to
secure our uture.

The undergraduate Delta riton Chapter is thriving at Purdue.
Te current Phi Sigs are no strangers to academic success.
Over the last three years they have consistently been among
the top chapters on the Purdue campus when it comes to grade point
average (GPA), boasting the highest GPA among all raternities in
all o 2014. Te group’s cumulative GPA currently ranks eighth out
o 41 Purdue raternities. Tis membership average is above the all-
raternity, all-men’s, and all-undergraduate averages.
Delta riton has ocused on its local community impact through
charitable activities. Te brothers have made
it a tradition to support the campus Polar
Plunge benefiting the Special Olympics. Teir
involvement and support have garnered the group
two awards: the top-grossing Phi Sig chapter in
the state, and three consecutive years o having
the most participants enter on campus. Tis pastyear’s involvement resulted in over $1,500 or the
cause. Te chapter’s basketball tournament raised
$300 or local campus activities, and several men
are working on plans to return to Grand Prix or
the 2016 race.
CHAPTER ACHIEVEMENTS, AWARDS AND HONORS
Chapter members are active in social activities with their ellow Greek
students as well as their alumni brothers. Annual spring work days
have brought together active and alumni brothers with the purpose o
upkeep and maintenance o the house. Te renewed commitment to
the care o our older home has been evident.
Alumni and active chapter brothers also convened or a summer retreat
to develop an in-depth recruitment manual or Delta riton. Te
active men engaged the help o Phired Up or proessional counsel on
recruitment to best attract and retain the uture o Phi Sigma Kappa. Tis
counsel helped double the previous five-year new
member average, yielding 10 new members or a
second consecutive time. Te 29-member chapter
is the strongest we’ve seen in recent history, and
reminiscent o the size alumni remember.
Te dedication o the current active chapter isevidenced by a strong spirit and energy to become
involved with campus lie. By promoting good
ellowship, encouraging strong academics, and
inspiring its members, the active chapter has done
its part to keep Phi Sigma Kappa viable at Purdue.
The biggest issue we face every semester of recruitment is the condition of our house. The new house would
allow us to choose the highest quality of men from a larger list of potential new members. Simply put, a new
house would completely change the future for current and future brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa.” – Austin Tummers ’15, Chapter President

While the Delta riton experience is certainly more than
the physical structure o the chapter house, our home
undoubtedly plays a significant role in the development
o our brothers and as a proud symbol o our shared values and goals.
Our chapter house at 302 Waldron has been a part o Delta riton’s
legacy or over 80 years and is showing its age. It has become clear we
must make a major investment to construct a new chapter house i
we are to remain competitive, provide a quality living environment,
and promote the brotherhood, scholarship, and character known o
Phi Sigma Kappa.
KEEPING OUR BROTHERS SAFE
Te saety o our collegiate members is o utmost importance to the
Delta riton Chapter o Phi Sigma Kappa; we must offer a structurally
sound and sae home or our collegians. oday’s saety standards suchas fire-rated windows, a sprinkler system, and more exits will ensure
our viability into the uture. Much like our personal homes, our chapter
house must be a sae haven that instills confidence in our members and
their parents.
PURSUING EXCELLENCE
Purdue University is as academically challenging as ever and the need
or an enhanced, quiet, well-lit, and comortable study space within
our acility is necessary or our members to achieve. We have all seen
the impact o technology over the years, as devices not present during
your college years are now necessities, including personal computers,
high-speed Internet access, e-mail, and more. Our plan will ensure that
Delta riton is equipped to excel academically and remain scholastic
leaders on campus and within the Greek system.
SETTING OURSELVES APART
oday’s students and their parents demand more out o their housing
dollars. Increasingly, students expect more space, more privacy, and
more amenities. Te number o apartment complexes surrounding
campus increases each year and include amenities such as covered
parking and fitness centers. More importantly, perhaps, several other
raternities on campus have undergone or are in the planning phases
or significant building or renovation projects.
BOTTOM LINE: We must build a new acility to attract the quality o
men we pride ourselves on. Delta riton now has the ability to not only
maintain our presence, but to become better and stronger with a state-
o-the-art raternity house.
WHY WE MUST SUCCEED
“Phi Sigma Kappa was my home away from home, which provided me with many great memories and
lifelong friendships. A new house is critical to ensure that these things are not lost for future generations
of Phi Sigs. – Richard Schleicher ’59, Campaign Chairman
“We’re excited about the opportunity
a new house would bring to Phi Sigma
Kappa even though our current members
will not directly benet. The concept
plans look great and I’m condent every
space can be lled in the new house.”

in Phi Sigma Kappa: the lielong riendships you created, the
development o your values and principles, and the many ways
Phi Sig enhanced your college years at Purdue University. Remember
that each o us benefited rom the commitment, generosity, and work
o those who came beore us. We enjoyed the comort and brotherhood

to repay the raternity by ensuring that the same experience will be
available to uture Phi Sigs.
Te undergraduate men have made a commitment to work hard in
maintaining the programs and traditions that have benefited the lives
o so many Phi Sigs over the years. ogether with our active members,
the volunteer leadership o the Delta riton Chapter o Phi Sigma
Kappa is committed to this major undertaking, which will allow us
to build a new chapter house and compete with other raternities andhousing options in West Laayette.
Each o us, simply by our involvement and interest, contributed to
the history and legacy o the Delta riton Chapter. Because o Delta
riton’s pressing need, we urge all brothers to consider a major gif to
the campaign. In order or each alumnus to maximize his participation,
gifs can be structured over a five-year pledge period.
