Psalm 112Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
who finds great delight in his commands. His children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house,
and his righteousness endures forever. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and
compassionate and righteous man. Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely,
who conducts his affairs with justice. Surely he will never be shaken;
a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news;
his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is secure, he will have no fear;
in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor,
his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor. The wicked man will see and be vexed,
he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

My child arrived just the other day He came to the world in the usual way,But there were planes to catch and bills to pay He learned to walk
while I was away. He was talking before I knew it, and as he grew he’d say, ‘You know I’m gonna be like you Dad, you know I’m gonna be like
you.And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the
man in the moon. When you coming home Dad, I don’t know when, But we’ll get together then, Son, you know we’ll have a good time then.My Son turned 10 just the other day, He said ‘Thanks for the ball Dad,
C’mon let’s play Can you teach me to throw?’ I said, ‘Not today I’ve got a lot to do’ He said, ‘That’s OK.’ And he walked away, but his smile never dimmed, He said, ‘I’m gonna be just like him, you know, I’m
gonna be just like him. He came from the college just the other day, So much like a man I just
had to say ‘Son I’m proud of you can you sit for a while?’ He shook his head and he said with a smile, What I’d really like Dad is to borrow the car keys, See you later, can I have them please?’ I’ve long since retired and my Son’s moved away I called him up just the other day. I said, ‘I’d like to see you if you don’t mind.’ He said, ‘I’d love to Dad if I could find the time, You see my new job’s a hassle and the kids have the flu, But it’s been sure nice talking to you Dad, It’s been sure nice talking to you.
And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me, My boy was just like me, He’d grown up just like me.
And the cat’s in the cradle in the cradle and the silver spoon, Little boy blue and the man in the moon. When you coming home? Dad I don’t know when, But we’ll get together then Dad, You know we’ll have a
good time then”
