Inspection during construction will prevent costly repairs after the project is completed. The inspector, engineer, contractor and system personnel must work together to inspect, document and correct deficiencies3. Hydrants & Valves: Fire Hydrant design, operation, maintenance issues and demonstrations. Valves are one of the most important components in a water system. This session will focus in the operation and maintenance of all types of valves.4. Water Resources Planning: This session discusses a comprehensive water resources plan for eight municipalities. Discussion will include the impacts on and threats to water in an area where there is a steady conversion of the natural environment to the built environment.5. Disinfection: Chlorine is not the only way to disinfect water and this session will explore all the methods available to water systems.6. Hydrants & Valves: (Repeat) Fire Hydrant design, operation, maintenance issues and demonstrations. Valves are one of the most important components in a water system. This session will focus in the operation and maintenance of all types of valves.7. SCADA Done Right: This session will cover SCADA system engineering, equipment selection and options.8. Water System Engineering Program: This program was developed by DEP to provide technical, managerial and financial assistance to small drinking water systems. 9. Tank Maintenance: Water facility owners won’t want to miss this informative session for the rehabilitation of existing steel tanks, design consideration and coatings for new tanks.10.Corrision Control in Potable Water; Its not just water chemistry: This workshop combines superb visuals and interactive lecture with live demonstrations, first defining potable water corrosion, the benefits of determining corrosion indexes, examining water quality issues like pH, Temperature, TDS, Hardness, Alkalinity. The operator will learn that effective corrosion control in potable water requires more than water chemistry studies. Disinfection, (type/residual), distribution piping, flushing schedules, treatment process, coupon studies, electrical grounding all play a major role in total system corrosion. # TBA 6 Contact Hours11. Distribution System Components: This session will identify the key components of a distribution network and describe the primary purpose or function of each component.12 Distribution System Workshop: The water distribution system is a large investment for a community; maintaining it and being able to troubleshoot problems that can arise are essential to public health. #TBA (3 Contact Hours)13.CMOM Regulations: An update on CMOM Regulations . #TBA (4 Contact Hours)14. biological nutrient removal followed by actual case studies.19. Aerobic Digestion: Gain a better understanding of the components of an aerobic digester. Also learn the operational parameters and the proper calculations for process control. 20. Small Package Plant O & M: This session will cover the proper operation and maintenance of a small wastewater package plant.21. Wastewater Operator Math: This course is to teach/review the math calculations a wastewater operator would need to properly operate and maintain a treatment facility. Many times operators don’t use some of the math formulas or methods on a daily basis, which, in turn, allows an operator to forget how to calculate those important equations needed for proper operation. # 887 6 Contact Hours 22. Nutrient Management and BNR Regulatory Roundtable: “Where do we go from here?” A roundtable discussion format headed by legal, permitting, engineering, and operations experts 23. Chapter 94: All publicly owned treatment works are covered by the Wasteload Management Regulation (Chapter 94). If you have questions we have answers. 24. Solutions for Solving Inflow & Infiltration “I & I”: Collection systems are always vulnerable to I & I problems, but what are the other components that affect the system. This is a must session for wastewater operators that deal with problems in the collection system. # TBA 3
